Wish someone making these renderings would move the intake further back mid way between the rear wheel well and door opening, similar to the McLaren 650 or 675

Thank you for taking the time to add to the excitement of release of th C8. We all have different tastes. I do not believe their could be a better looking car than the C7 GS and ZO6. I think all the renderings are plain. All similar to Farrari, Lamborghini and NSX. I doubt and hope GM doesnt go the lookalike route. I dont think they have done it in the past. The renderings look sleek, Im hoping for bold looking.

But it does not seem to be... the CAD seems to indicate the scoop intake begins at the door edge as shown below. The opening may be covered by a trip piece.... of any shape, but it seems to start as indicated.

I'm no expert, however I haven't seen a rendering that reflects the rears bumper cover's aft-facing vents. The paint-line image (below), IMO, shows that the vents outer most edges are radiused and would be visible from the side of the car.

Mostly because it does not seem to really "wrap" around much. You can see it from the side as in the C8R image but the "edge" may be a trim piece?

Maybe the trim/grill that fills the hole in the paint shop part wraps? Very hard to tell exactly what is happening there. Either way... it doesn't wrap around very much or enough to change the "look" that much. Will be a nice detail to find out for sure.

Right. The scoop can't start any further back than those holes. Looks like you have a couple of contenders challenging your CF chief designer position. I'm going to have a blast examining the real car.

Still tinkering with this, i think its getting closer and closer i reworked the scoop to be closer to the C8 R and and reworked a bunch of stuff with help from fvs. And added the engine cover even though i think it might not be the final design since they didn't bother putting the camo pattern on it. im really liking the look of this scoop what do you guys think?

The rear looks much more elongated in this version as if it has a longer wheel base.. I liked the original proportions better.

Fantastic work. I really like the side intake . These are the 1st renders that seem to flow front to rear as a complete design.

I only hope your correct and it looks this good.

bdsvavars,

Can you fix the side windows? The camo car has 2 windows, on your render it looks like one giants window.

Whatever it comes packaged as. A full-body PPF, ceramic coat, and Window tint will be obligatory first mods.
.
I wonder how long it will take for the vendors to push out Carbon Fiber pieces?

This is the one I'm hoping to see.

I can't say I'm a fan of the OP's rendering.

OP, chazcron and FVS have it nailed pretty good I think.

The render you post is only that...

His render is actually not that far off in terms of scale and basic lines and features. It is missing some key defining features and needs some details adjusted which I have pointed out to him. I am looking forward to seeing his next draft !
