The C8 will be introduced, rolled out, and pace the race in May 2019 at the Indy 500.

No, that would be stupid place to do a reveal. The Indy 500 ain't what it use to be, and not many folks pay that much attention to it.
Actually, any race would be a stupid place to do a reveal. The only smart choice is a big deal car show, with max international press attendance. That screams NYC.

What about a charity auction Barrett Jackson, car guys all know about B Jackson. It would go through the roof.

Nope, the international press doesn't care much about the BJ auction either. It's a minor league event, except to "car guys" who are a tiny minority of the population.

The NY Auto Show is not till April.

The year the C7 was revealed that had a few that they drove around Manhattan the same time the show was going on. Sure got attention!

I'm also not convinced it'll be a 2020 car. I'm not sure GM is done making their cash with the C7. Technically it would be a short production run for the C7 and me personally, I think there's the right amount of hype with the C7. My hypothesis is, GM will release the car when Crysler's Charger, Challenge and Ford's Mustang will change their body styles. That would be the determining factors for me if I made the decisions at GM. I'm going to say 2022. The last C6 ZR1's production run was 5 years.
C5 - 8 years
C6 - 9 years
C7 - 6 years assuming they stop making them in 2019
Math doesn't add up because I think GM's making great numbers with the C7 and the C8 assuming ME would be a gamble. Just a guess though.

The Challenger, Charger and Mustang are not Corvette's competitors. C7 sales have fallen significantly. Chevy never intended the C6 to go for 9 years, but GM's bankruptcy played a major part in the C6 running for 9 years.

Not sure what GM is doing, it’s strange to have all these mules testing then BOOM nothing. Silence! I know a few who have decided to buy something else and will make a decision when it’s revealed. I am getting board I just wish they came out and said we are in development and not to exspect it till (give us a year something)
Maybe they knew Porsche was releasing the new 911 this coming week in LA and that is why they released photos and videos a few months ago. We know it’s a 2020 and it’s still testing.
Lol who knows i am getting frustrated

Maybe it was nothing more than an engineering exercise.
Maybe it is now back in the garage to never be seen again.

Have there been prior Chevy "engineering exercises" where camouflaged vehicles were seen/photographed in many different settings/climates? Have other "engineering exercises" been commented on by various current/former GM officials? Have other "engineering exercises" been seen in ISMA race car form?
What we have seen is clearly the next generation Corvette and it is an ME.

I talked to my Corvette salesman yesterday. He is now the manager of the dealership. He has heard nothing about the introduction of the C8, nothing. He doesn't think the car will be introduced in Detroit or Chicago. He thinks GM would have announced it by now if it was Detroit or Chicago. He feels it will be introduced sometime next spring.
