I would sure hope so. Jeep just released a pickup truck with a manual.

The purist car buyers on this forum are no different. Remember all the complainers about the shape of the tail lights on the c7 and the ugly rear end to just name a couple. Itís the nature of the beast. Many people are simply adverse to change. I am already reading the same about the c8 and it hasnít even be revealed yet! Both forums are the same in this regard. The truth of the matter is that every generation of 911 or Corvette is better than the last. Early adopters will have better cars regardless of the marquee they choose. I personally like the latest and newest while others like to bitch about change. The good news for them is there will always be the used car market where they can always find older technology that is more to their liking. In my opinion the 991.2 trumps a c7 in about every way but price. I will guess Porsche will have zero issues in selling their new 992, and I will also guess that Corvette will have buyers standing in line for the new ME. Both cars are fantastic. I will go with the better product once I see the ME as I have never been brand loyal.

Completely agree. The ME is not even out of its camo and it's getting skewered left and right on how it looks. My guess is once it is revealed and even if it happens to be the most exotic and best looking Vette ever the haters will still be out complaining about how ugly the gas cap is.

I see where Mercedes has released their newest version of the front engine AMG GT. It's called the AMG GT R Pro. Even though Mercedes didn't increase the HP(577) they did add more carbon fiber to lower the car's weight, and changed the front splitter and rear spoiler for increased downforce, and added coil overs so the car can be "tuned" for individual tracks. They also retained the DCT.

The AMG GT R ran the Ring in 7:10. The AMG GT R Pro lowers it to 7:04.632.

Looks like another competitor to the mid-engine Corvette

Actually seen the new 911 in both camo and regular version in my Stuttgart gigs. The production car was on the move...I would say it seems to look nicer on pictures than live and at frontal view eye level it strikes "squarish" ala new Audi R8. I guess it is one of the new on going German themes and yes looks are subjective
I like the interior. An improvement IMHO.

Last three months have been CATASTROPHIC for 911 sales in Europe so maybe everybody was waiting for this one...maybe...

IMHO pricing is still an issue though. If they start with the S nobody is going to walk out with a car for less than 130K (Porsche guys know this to be true..) So we are talking power/weight of a 2008 C6 at the price of a loaded C7 ZR1...

Good Luck.
