Looks like a 40 year old design. To me, Porsche has held too closely to the "traditional" design cues for way too many years. I just find Porsche's UGLY.

Looks like the 991 but the tail looks a little gimmicky - like they borrowed from Volvo. The interior is beautiful. With 20 more HP and a longer wheelbase she'll be fast and handle well. The Porsche crowd will love it.
I'll keep my C7 - it looks cooler and has a V-8 !

Wow-- Carrera S is $8,100 more -- $113,000+. I hope GM is not 'inspired" by this increase when they price the C8.

OMG...a new 911?!?
I'm shocked, SHOCKED!!!!

They're consistent in design, in a good way. A 911 is instantly recognisable. This was true for the c4- c6 corvettes as well, you could tell what it was without being told. For me that did not happen with the C7, will not happen with the c8 and I even mistook a late model viper for a honda at first glance.
Hopefully they manage to keep that fabled driving experience. That was one reason I looked at getting a used 911 myself. Ended up with a c4 instead though, made more sense financially, neither of them being my dream car anyway

Proper throwback works. The Porsche people are going to eat that right up. I'm happy for them.
.I chose my new C7 over a new Porsche. I did go look at the new ones at my dealership and enquire about their price though.
.The C7's style returned to the earlier C3s. The C4/5/6 brick-shaped Corvettes finally died. Thank God!

It’s amazing how far technology is advancing the modern automobile, looks good just wonder if this technology takes some of the emotions out of the driving experience. Detail video of new Porsche

I watched the Porsche premiere as well,
I love the look, but the price is disappointing .
I also hate the fact that the “S” version with PDK is the first model available ,obviously a sales driven decision.
I bought a 2009 brand new base 911 at under 80000$...
To me that was compelling value,This time around ...
I feel alienated from the brand.

The C4 has its angles. The side shot is nice and the *** is badass looking but the front is quite boxy. (The *** on the C7 is actually very similar in what it invokes.) Nothing will ever quite be able to hold a candle to the C3 interior. The C7 approximates it well but the C3 felt like dropping straight into a fighter jet. The C7 is more of an idea of it which isn't bad. The C4 was jet esque too but you actually fell into the damn thing. The first 4 all have a very unique take on interior feel that was lost on the c5 and c6.

From a design stand point, this design is a complete disappointment. Not because it's ugly, because it's unequivocally old hat.
I am completely bored an "over it" with this exact same look. They could take the same silhouette and make a drastically more forward thinking design while staying true to the heritage of the model.

Looks exactly like the current gen 911, except that the tail light treatment actually looks worse on this new model. I'm sure it's a great car, but in the looks department my Z06 absolutely destroys it.

I really liked the interior layout tbh. It has a lot of the classic elements.

It says a manual transmission will be offered at a later date. Good news for us potential manual trans only C8 customers. Hopefully Chevy will offer a manual trans in the C8 eventually.

It's too big and too technologically driven. To me the 911 was a smaller, lighter, and more mechanically driven package. I guess I'm finally starting to age because I'm just not gelling with any of these new European cars. Had a 2016 M3 that drove like a video game, completely detached from reality. I really hope the C8 gives me the tingles when I drive it. I'm starting to think that cars that deliver the true excitement of driving are going by the wayside. I don't care how fast these things are anymore. I just want to feel the road and have good 'ol NA throttle response. Things like this make me want to test drive an ND Miata.
