I hear ya.
All of the posts on this forum about a KEY FOB...
The folks at Team Corvette must be having a good laugh right now.

With absolutely no substantial (official) info on this car for years Corvette fans have been reduced to getting hyped over an internet key FOB.
Gee, thanx GM for all your wonderful support of The Faithful...

Dude, if you sport a high end key fob that is crafted like jewelry people will know you are baller. It is not about the car, it boosts your ego.

My wife used to be a bartender and an nice place in town. There was a guy who came in there in the mid 2000s who had a '98 C5 he thought was hot ****. He would always "toss" his keys on the bar just right that the C5 emblem on the FOB was face up every time. He was a regular and did it every single time

I had a new 1998 C5 with both FOB's. I don't remember seeing a Corvette emblem on either side of the FOB, but then maybe I wasn't paying attention to the important things in life.

I thought that Faithful Corvette owners strung their FOB on a gold chain and wear it around their neck as a fine piece of crafted jewelry.

I'm a jeweler, if anyone wants to brighten their key fob up, just let me know!! I'll bespoke it with diamonds, sapphires, rubies, whatever you like and hopefully that'll make it seem more worthy of a GM product for you.
I've changed batteries on all sorts of key fobs, they all look pretty much the same on the inside. Circuit board , battery/batteries and button switches. As long as mine lets me open my car and start it, I don't care what it looks like setting in my pocket.
You guys are cracking me up.

They know nothing more than the folks posting on this site..... With that said, I don't think the people posting here really know anything concrete relating to the release. Everybody (including me) has an opinion though. That and $3 will get you a coffee at Starbucks.

I'll bet it was a C6 not C5.

That's right. The c6 is even lighter! Both the car and the key fob if the tech exists to 3d print off a block of carbon fiber, that fob is giving us clues as to what the c8 will be made of. The vettes and caddys have always been tech pioneers
