If you zoom in on the key fob, you can easily see the outline of the new C8. Hahahaha

The documents support the idea that the C8 will be sold in more foreign markets, as was already shown by ZORA being trademarked in almost every major market. That makes me wonder if BGA will open up a new line or add tooling to increase production volume to an international level, or if the base price will be closer to the 911’s.

As you mentioned it has more vertical sweep - and also the "V" is closed between the two flags.

I may be reading too much into this, but I find it very interesting that it says "GM MY20 B1 fob". I would expect it to say Y2. (C7 being Y1)

The fact that the device has been submitted to the FCC, which must review and approve all communications devices (which key fobs are defined as), puts the earlier photoshop theory to bed. Also, the sentence in the R&T article pointing out that it is not just the first stage prototype part, but a pre-production part, further confirms what the smart money here has been saying all along, that the 2020 mid engine Corvette is coming.

As for the car industry,it hasn’t been done.
Model year 2019 is the final year of the old generation of Corvette.
2020 is the new generation .

Link to the original FCC filing if anyone wants non-watermarked photos.

Either this was intentional, or someone really screwed up. These are normally submitted with short term confidentiality requests for things like external and internal photos. Even stuff as mundane as wifi access points are usually submitted with confidentiality docs.
Scratch that. These were submitted back in June, with the end of confidentiality set for 11/20/2018.
This tells me GM was originally planning to have the logo out in public by now. That's very interesting. I wonder if they were planning a teaser tied into the 11/18 Shanghai WEC race?

Does short-term confidentiality apply to this application?: Yes
If so, specify the short-term confidentiality release date (MM/DD/YYYY format): 11/20/2018
Note: If no date is supplied, the release date will be set to 45 calendar days past the date of grant.

Except that there's been references to a Y2 project on LinkedIn and other automotive industry sites. So either this B1 designation has nothing to do with the car's platform, or there's something else going on here.
