Great points across this whole thread.
I'm simply standing by the notion that while the C8 will be an extraordinary car, let's not try to think it will be on par craftsmanship wise as some other brands.
I even argue the " they have pushed the front mid layout as far as they can" statements. Why?
Because if you look at Ferrari's top tier model ( not counting the La Ferrari), they are still front mid engine just like the Corvette has been. That's just a fact. The F12 and now the 812 truly push the envelope when it comes to that layout.
Again, as for the engine look, I definitely could be wrong but I don't think we are gonna get anything like this:

The FE layout is absolutely not as far as it can go. Less weight, more downforce, active aero, DCT, no leaf springs, possibly AWD, etc. Don't buy into their b.s.
