What I know is...I don't know!

Just figured this thread could use something other than speculation...

We live in a time where there are no secrets...and yet, we have this.
It's astonishing when you think about the fact anyone can post info on the internet anonymously without revealing themselves.
I think GM has been very lucky in this regard.

Seems a bit strange that people are saying the C7 is done in March but you have to wait a month to hear what you can order for the next model year? I find this unprecedented.....

With the new video of the C8 testing at Sebring, wouldn’t it be cool to see both the production car and the GTLM car both roll onto the stage at a Detroit in January?

I agree! Another reason that I believe the C8 will be revealed to us all in January.

Exactly. But unfortunately it's a source of stress and anger for too many.

Yeah, it'll take some getting use to. Had em side by side and went with an 18 last month.

Well I'm glad you asked.
There are 2 universes of Corvettedom
If the C8 is priced somewhat close to the C7 the C7 will disappear for X? years before another FE model appears.
If the C8 is priced as high as some suggest, dealers will demand, no beg for a updated C7 to sell also.

March does seem a bit early. My dealer did tell me (yeah, I know.....itís a dealer) that after the C8 reveal, production of the C7 would slow way down. Geez....ya think?

There are a few more crystal ball variations than those two. Mine is that the multiple ME C8 versions will be MSRP-priced over a nearly $100K spread, with base being affordable to the current buyer demographic, and there will NOT be any new FE "Corvettes" developed. BUT, something like the Camaro may morph into something more like the traditional FE Corvette.

Once GM gets over the notion that Camaro has to pay homage to 1967-69 in perpetuity, the decks will be cleared for a new design.

No no no, it will revealed on Dec 25th.

Not because it's Christmas but because that's Zora Duntov's birthday!

Likely some time frame to represent the design mark of Zora.
Though I wonder how many folks get the connection with Duntov and the corvette except lot of the older folks.

The fascination on this forum with Zora Duntov being honored on the new C8 is a bit comical. Duntov was legendary inside GM (and also considered a thorn in the side of many in GM mgmt), but he is largely unknown to the public except in the very small world of older Corvette fanatics. Most owners and certainly the general public have no clue who he was. Now Carroll Shelby was a more household name, but Zora has very low name recognition.
