Does GM's recent design "flubs" with the newest Camaro and the new HD 2500 worry you?

I like the look of the new 2500HD. It looks as strong as it is, and the grille is 100% functional. The truck is also massive, according to publications who got to see it in person. They GM Authority said that it makes the 1500 look like a Colorado, and Motor Trend said that the side step is at mid-thigh on an average size male while the duramax badge on the hood is at eye level.
I liked the 1500 as soon as I saw it. All of the ones I have seen in person have looked way better than the old Silverado, which already looks old to me.
As for the Camaro, the 2019 LT models looked amazing to me as soon as I saw real images of them. The SS had to grow on me, but I have come to like the aggressive front end. I really liked it once I saw a few sitting at the local dealer. The taillights are much better than before, in my opinion. The ZL1's front end didn't change with the refresh, and I have always liked it.
Keep in mind that I'm probably the youngest member of the forum, and these new cars have been designed to appeal to younger buyers. GM seems to be testing the waters on design with the new trucks and Camaro, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Chevy's design language change again soon.
I am NOT worried about the C8 Corvette looking bad. GM will not let it look bad, and neither will its engineers. I honestly have no concerns about the C8 besides the fact that it may be the last gas-powered generation of Corvettes.

The face on the new truck looks like GM was trying to out Lexus Lexus--truly hideous.
But, perhaps, this is what it is going to take to turn truck and SUV buyers back into car buyers..........

The grill on the new HD2500 might be a little oversized, but the headlights finally look like something other than the afterthought that GM and Chevy trucks have had for years. They might be the best looking PU truck light arrangement on the market.. I wonder how well they function?
i really don’t like the current Camero so the beauty is in deed in the eye of the beholder. In my eye, Dodge still owns the styling in that segment.

It's okay. When I see them at night I still really have to look to figure out if what's a ways in front of me is a camaro or a vette. 
The important thing is it works with the rest of the car so it's fine. Gm has a thing with not being able to finish rear ends... you ever look at the back of a traverse? That's a rear I'm surprised was approved. The first gens, the new ones are okay. They can only get a car 90% of the way there lately. Generally that last 10 percent is scattered everywhere and you realize all the stupid little things add up.

Couldn't care less about a Camaro or a pickup truck! I'm here for the Corvette and time will tell how attractive or not attractive it will be. Based on history I would say it will probably be the former.

Makes you wonder what the powers that be were thinking approving these two. Horrible, horrible designs. Let's hope whoever these bozos were, they have ZERO say in the C8.

THe renderings ive seen to date of the c8 look awesome. Im not worried in the slightest.
im not a pony car or pickup truck customer so I have no idea what that segments buyers prefer..
i do believe the camaro will evolve to more of a ferrari portifino styling (2 +2 ) hardtop as the corvette c8 goes rear mid engine like the ferrari 488...
just a guess on my part though.

Like the "bigger on the outside but smaller on the inside, and heavier".
Like the crummy visibility, especially to the rear.
Like the two finger door handles.
Etc.
We like the mechanical features of our C7, but there are so many bad choices in the design that I am indeed worried about the C8. GM made the C7 a better "numbers" car but a worse "livability" car.
It could be worse, we had a loaner Camaro two years ago when our C6 was in the shop. After five minutes inside it, my wife exclaimed that she hated it and I'd better not buy something like that.

I was planning on getting a 2019 Camaro SS until I saw what they did to the front with those ugly fangs. What is the purpose of those ugly fangs? I feel sorry for the chief engineer of the Camaro. He and his team build a world class car, and GM Design does that to it.

It's hard to believe GM managers can be so willfully ignorant but they are. On the bright side, the Corvette team are somewhat separate from the rest of the bozos at GM, and Corvette owner focus groups would highlight the importance of cargo capacity to current owners. And for outward visibility there will be rearview cameras and blind spot monitors.

The Camaro and Truck designs are atrocious...no doubt about it.
But it doesn't necessarily mean the C8's will be horrible too.
OTOH, what can be deduced from the mules is not good either.

Several of the current Chevy vehicles are indeed hideous. Minus the Corvette, ZL1, and Tahoe/Suburban, everything else looks considerably uglier than virtually all of their competitors.
It’s insane to think a group of professionals actually thought these atrocities were a good idea. Now they are reaping what they’ve sewn by layoffs and plant closures.

That's exactly why the Camaro is outsold by the Mustang. While the Mustang is inferior in handling and performance, it's a far better daily driver, with more cargo space and better access, better outward visibility, and a roomier cabin. Every single professional review of the Camaro has pointed out these failings. Everyone one.
