Awesome. Do the tires seem narrow to anyone else? Rears don’t seem like much rubber for the power I’m hearing.

Confirms the side "hook" on the headlight and we know the new tails. Sounds like a V6 which sadly makes sense for the rules.

So it looks like the C8-R will have the large, angular and very aggressive side scoops while the street version will have....stay tuned!

The racecars have paddle shift sequentials. C5/6 had sequentials too but had a stick to select up/down shifts.

And about 3 seconds in I stopped. Sounds like ****. (I grew up around off shore race boats so I may also have a bias...)

Could be a tiny V8, such as what McLaren uses. As long as the street car has a V8, it's all good. I honestly don't care for racing unless I'm behind the wheel, never could get into Nascar, F1 or any of that stuff.

My guess is there will be a contrasting color to round the "cove". The "jaw" shape is ideal for air ingestion..

Since that’s the C8.R, I have to think that the Corvette we can buy won’t sound anything like that glorious sounding beast, but I hope it does.

I don't know about that. I'm pretty sure still that that panel is just in there under the camo to hide the scoop shape. Someone who has seen the car said the scoop looked like the one on the LaFerrati, so without that panel there the "jaw shape" that is hidden under that panel will be exposed and look like the LaFerrari's scoop.

If the GS is 75% of that car, I will be very very happy.

Maybe for the production car, but I canít imagine the race team is testing this car with any extraneous bits. The slightest deviation in data gathering is a big deal to them.

I agree. The camo is too form fitting on the C8-R and does not appear to have that extra piece under the camo like the street car.

Sounds like a v6 with a hair blower or two! Of course with a competition exhaust system. I like

Thanks for posting. We needed a fix badly! Gotta say im
not liking the idea of a 6 near a vette. If it stays in the race car then no biggie but the production cars needs to be an 8. The C5-7Rs thunder will be missed!

The C8R looks and sounds great. Love the tail lights. Too bad the C8 test mules aren’t anywhere close to the C8R.

Im holding out hope that they have a camo wizard and when the C8 is revealed I will be pleasantly surprised.
