Default Speculation and more speculation

We need some people with real inside information. Otherwise, I may go to the Detroit Auto Show just in hope of seeing whatever it is.

I'm still betting it launches as a Cadillac halo car and the C8.R we have seen is also for the Cadillac Racing team. That version will probably have two different DOHC engines; one with a twin turbo. Probably AWD as well.

Then just like the XLR came out followed by the C6; the C8 will come.

I do believe the Manta Ray rumor to the extent that Corvette will become a two car brand with a front mid engine rear drive car and a rear mid engine rear drive car. Remember we saw a mule of a stingray base with an updated from facia a couple years ago - so the C7, which I personally love and drive every day, will stay with us as a C7B, just like we had a C4A and C4B.

That is my speculation; but at least it is based on what we have seen in the past and seen in test mules. Also, the Cadillac version will be the overpriced 150K+ model. The Corvette model will be standard corvette pricing. Probably start at 65-70 versus the C7 55.

Nope. There will be no Cadillac version. The mid-engine C8 Corvette will not start anywhere near 150K. The C7 will end when the C8 comes out. Come back to this thread when it's officially announced and prove me wrong.

GM isn't changing it's ways anytime soon and that's a big part of their problem.

I'm so glad we needed to make yet another thread about the same topic.

so you think that after seeing the C8R and Ring images that it is a Caddie?

the rear deck and cockpit are almost identical to the C7 design. The rear hatch could almost be swapped with a C7. So you believe Cadillac just decided to copy Corvette design language all of a sudden. Not follow their own design cues?

Fascia's are easy to change. Don't get me wrong; I'm hoping it is a corvette at corvette pricing. I'm sure it isn't 150K unless there is a Cadillac version. I'm sure it isn't DOHC turbocharged unless it is a Cadillac version. I also don't know what happened to that stingray test mule we saw that had a ZR1 looking front facia but everything else was base stingray. If it is a corvette, I'm betting pushrod V8 for 65K and I'll be lining up to buy one.

It will be a 2021 year model and the C7 ends then.

Almost like predicting something after it happens.
