If sales of the C8/Cadillac ME don't meet GM expectations they can always retool BGA to assemble other vehicles that are selling, probably an SUV.

I'm a manufacturing engineer for certain plastics in the automotive industry, I've seen the 2020 corvette volumes come across my email. They aren't canceled nor are they shutting down the vette plant..

agreed.
Also wonder if the plant hadn’t been expanded, how would those capacity numbers look?
excellent points on the shifts and 24/7,which doesn’t happen in BG

In addition the Cruze will continue to be made in Argentina.

I sure don't think Corvettes or BG is going away. I am sure it makes money and a good lead in product / marketing . However after quickly googling some #s for 2017 GM sales in 2017 were approx 147 Billion. 32,782.00 Corvettes built in 2017 . assume a median price of $65K. That is $2.1 Billion. Not much in the total scheme of things. I doubt Mary Barra is overly concerned about the C8 being delayed, or not. Bigger fish to fry.

Exactly. Corvette does make some money for GM but in the broader sense it is a minor player when you look at GM's total sales worldwide.
