I am not sure that your comment is relevant. A Porsche is a Porsche and is expected to have a 4 or 6 cylinder boxer engine. That is part of Porsche's DNA.
My point is that I believe that the majority of Americans believe that a mid engine sports car should have a V-8 engine at a minimum. Especially when the car in question costs over $80K.
Besides, GOD told me that he/she doesn't like V-6s.

Honestly who cares? Electric cars are a joke when they start touting performance figures especial. How many of those amazing launches to 60 can this amazing car do before it cuts power or needs to sit and charge? Now ask the same question about a Corvette or any other normal car. Ya exactly. Tesla can come back to me when their car can do it all afternoon and then go charge after all day messing around and come back fully charged after five minutes and do it again. Oh wait charging takes how long? Right...... Tesla. Please. Stop.

You Can Launch it a TON of times, gets even faster when Battery warms (at least my Model S can, I'm in Ludicrous 100% of the Time), Our Vettes use more Gas Launching too, so Refuel vs SuperCharge run...
The Roadster should have a 600 mile Battery Pack (would diminish some of course with a lead foot)
Of course there is no Exhaust Note, but it's a different kinds cool.
2.3 sec 0-60 is something else & if the Roadster hits the proposed 1.9....

The corvette runs out of gas just as a tesla needs charging. The change is coming even a AWD electric Corvette. Its OK they they will still be fun. By the way - Did the legal case on overheating finally get resolved?

Other sports car manufacturers are preparing electric models, and GM’s most recent announcements clearly indicate a corporate push toward electric and autonomous vehicles. I have no idea if GM actually plans an electric Corvette but... in 2015 GM did apply a U. S. trademark application for “Corvette E-Ray” and they have requested two extensions on that application, the latest was approved in August, 2018.

AWD would be awesome. I have driven the 911 4S and it handles great. And, it still takes skill to drive aWD to maximum performance.

C7s handle great, I suspect an AWD C8 will “probably” handle very well. Flipping through the twisties chacing a 911 twin turbo AWD was quite and experience in a C7. Pretty sure an AWD C8 would be quite fun as well. Lets not get a head of our selves an AWD is years out. Im also pretty sure quite a few on this form are going ro flip out when its an AWD Electric Tesla eater!
For me its “don’t knock it until you try it”, I’m pretty sure no one has tried it!

Technically it can Charge to near full in about 20 minutes at a SuperCharger Station.

completely agree., love the Tesla s, good choice I've only ridden in one and loved it, very interested in the roadster as a purchase also. there is no mutually exclusive decision in cars, someone may want 2 or 3 sports cars. in any case, full electric cars are coming at a heightened pace so embracing the tech is necessary.
