Things we DON'T know:
1. "Electrical" issue on the C8. (This was NEVER confirmed by GM, GM Authority reported it...but they also "reported" the subject of this very thread)
2. The price
3. When and where it will be released.
To summarize:
We don't KNOW anything except there ARE C8's out there running around under camo.

1) Exactly what the exterior/interior looks like?
2) What powertrains will be available?
3) What are the other Options available to order?
For me, these are the things I am anxious to know right now.
The exterior of the C7 Z06 is one of the most beautiful in the world and will be hard to top IMO.
Price and when production starts are somewhat secondary.
If the car meets my criteria for what a great Sportscar should be, I'll pay the price.
NOTHING official has been released by GM.

Interesting thought. I also think a $120K+ is realistic for a top tier model but that's not what was claimed. As you said, you weren't part of that conversation. Perhaps you should go check that thread out. The first post will make it clear what was claimed...

hold on, you're claiming that GM is going to have a "surprise" unveiling of what is probably the most anticipated sports car in the history of GM? Seriously? A surprise!?!?! lol holy sh*t on a shingle that's unbelievably funny

No...Zerv02 made Jalopnik.
I think I'll start a thread:
2020 C8 Corvette to be revealed at Coachella Carrot Festival in 2019
"In other Corvette news, Corvette Racing team manager, Doug Fehan, in a surprise move, announced current IMSA Drivers Champion, Jan Mangussen, has been replaced on the team by a relative unkown, B. Bunny. Bunny has spent much of his driving career as lead driver for E Fudd Racing, located in Albuquerque, NM."

16 Vettes and counting…..
It certainly is. BS posts that turn into feeding frenzies may be good for a forum in the short term, but in the long run allowing such crap to become the norm rather than the exception kills whatever credibility the forum may have had.
Wait...credibility on an internet forum? What the hell was I thinkin'.........

It has probably been mentioned, but IF the C8 is revealed at the NYIAS as rumored, then it could be on display at the Bash in BG the following week.....

Jalopnik is a direct connect to GM, so if they wanted to burn Zerv and his credibility and his source info, itd be to out him on Jalopnik. I have spoken with several engineers and upper tier people within Gm about security measures they take and rules in place, I can also tell you Detroit is “small town” when it cones to insiders and info leak across brands. Engineers move around, go from place to place, etc. Zervs true test will be when we see the interior of the car vs his drawing. NAIAS, especially given this article, highlights the poasibility that they could be on a hunt to find or end the leak. Lets remember, Jalopnik had drawings if the C7 wayyyy before the car was known and those leaks were real. Everyone says Zerv is a perp but, to say that would mean no leaks have ever occured in the past.
