Cadillac sells in 36 markets worldwide, with the US, Canada and China being three of them. Outside of the US and Canada, Corvette are primarily sold in Cadillac dealerships. In 2017 Cadillac sold 156,440 vehicles in the US but sold 356,467 worldwide.
Any place outside of the US and Canada, Corvettes can be sold in a Cadillac dealership. GM can export Corvettes outside of the US just as they export Cadillacs outside of the US. Cadillacs are sold in Europe and Corvettes sold in Europe are sold in the Cadillac dealerships.
GM knows how to export vehicles that are made in the USA to foreign countries. But, for GM to do that, there has to be a viable market outside the USA for the Corvette. Since only around 10% of the Corvettes made in the US are sold outside of the US., that is a clear indication that the Corvette does not have the sales appeals as does the Porsche, outside of the US.
If there was a demand for 30,000 Corvettes outside of the USA annually, Chevrolet would be manufacturing and selling them worldwide.
I'll repeat it again; GM has the ability to sell Corvettes in all the major markets, if there was demand for the Corvette worldwide.
While GM did get rid of it's European manufacturing business(and related sales/service), they still have sales/service dealerships in Europe, selling Cadillacs and Corvettes. GM did not just abandon the European market as you seem to believe. If there were a demand for, say, 10,000 Corvettes annually in Europe, GM could handle it. Period.

1. Do you really know what an holding company is?
2. Do you really know what a dealership is?

GM has neither sales nor service dealerships in Europe. Like stated, they pulled out based after the realization it is a very low margin, highly tariffed (read protectionist) market.
Just because someone can buy a corvette at the North Pole does not mean GM has a service/sales dealership there!
Since the EU is not a GM target market like the US, Canada, and China All sales of GM products in Europe (and in other non US markets) is done via very small private resellers specializing in novelty sales most of which are simply internet kiosks!
You go in, you browse the internet, you pick your car, pay the "guy" and he delivers you a Corvette 6 to 8 months later. The "guy" may have one mechanic GM "certified" which also happens to be Alfa Romeo certified and Vaxhall certified...
After tariffs and taxes a BASE Corvette costs 117K!! in Germany and even more in other international markets
911s on the other hand are literally "dumped" (read government subsidized) n the international market. Look up the price of a 911 in Germany and USA and then report back...
Your entire premise is false. OFFER a Corvette in the EU at the natural price of 49K Euros and see what happens...

Still looks like NY in April. I won't pile on ZERV. I'm sure there will be enough of that as people roll out of bed this morning.

What if instead of the actual C8 ME being revealed this Monday night they show the first tease video in a series created in similar fashion as was with the C7. A disappointment for many of us but at least we’d have something to chew on and even enthusiastically debate here on CF. HOWEVER, please, please, please let me be wrong and the C8 is actually there, if anything to give Zerv02 an “I told you so”.

"In honor of jpee"
So, A VIDEO TEASE is the same as a major release of the real car at a major auto show in January? Does anyone think total BS in alleged "predictions"?
I'd like to see "apologies" from all those who "apologized"..... Oh wait, that might be too "harsh."
