thank you for trying Zerv02, I really dont understand the hostility from some people. I guess their world nothing unexpected ever happened and everything they ever predicted turned out to be completely true. It must be nice being so perfect all the time.

I agree. Thanks Zerv02 ... too many people are taking this way too seriously.

Who cares when GM debuts it. No one can buy it until it goes on sale for whatever price it's listed at anyway. It's not like a post on this forum is going to move GMs stock or anything. Why do so many get so worked up about this?

No kidding. Telling someone "FU" over this? It's ridiculous. I've been on many car forums in my life and while I was always shocked at some of the Honda and BMW forums, they seem to pale in comparison to the folks on this forum.

well looks like the "pending schedule conference" that was on the NAIAS press schedule has been updated to FORD/VOLKSWAGEN Conference call. so no surprise unveil for Corvette.

Have you perused the different gen forums on this site? Particularly the tech? I wouldn't base my entire view of CF on C8 Gen.

Confidence is a fleeting thing but there are those who will cling onto the most obvious of lies even in the face of ginormous clues. These cannot be reasoned with... so? We move on. But we can’t overlook that there are those who take advantage of confidence and fill the void of info from GM and give inaccurate (false) info to people looking for any kind of info. I’m looking at you, Zerv.

rather than be small and all “I told you so”, let’s focus on positive things. Namely.... $169K is positively hilariously wrong as the only option. There will be a C8 affordable by the likes of you and me...

NYIAS is the unveiling of the ME car. Those who have actually seen the car know this. Many MANY dealer principals, and exec's from GM suppliers, etc have seen, sat in, and been told the rough unveil debut whatever date and it correlates to the NY show.

from what I've been told nobody has been able to drive one outside of GM and they won't even discuss powertrain with them.

obviously the suppliers of the engine and supporting hardware, software, etc have an idea and or outright know.

idk anyone in that arena. But I do know someone who has seen the car. I wouldn't even begin to describe what they saw outside of instant gotta have it factor. Which is more than I can say from what I've seen so far. Just my opinion.

Everything you say above is completely consistent with what I've heard from a similar source, and NYIAS was the tentative plan last October. However, some of the folks you refer to above are now saying NYIAS is likely not going to happen now, and that it will be later. However, that is far from certain.

At least we can say with certainty now it won't be Detroit.

NYIAS is what I've been hearing for a long while. Considering the timing with the test cars slowly shedding camo and the car entering production in the Fall, New York makes the most sense for GM and the consumers. It'll be the biggest debut at the show and probably in the history of the show.
