Well Zerv....
if they laid the bait out there to out the Leaker. You made it pretty easy lol.
maybe they gave a few people different reveal dates and now they KNOW who it actually was.... uh oh.
your "source" is in a lot of trouble unless he was the one checking out your integrity. Hopefully you didn't cost that guy or girl their jobs.

Here's what I believe took place...Zerv02 has a friend who works for GM. This friend was able to get Zerv02 a seat in one of the captured fleet test vehicles and then told Zerv02 that the reveal was going to take place at the NAIAS and that the car was going to MSRP for $169,900. Anyway, Zerv02 believed his source was correct, and his source probably thought he was correct too at the time. Zerv02 got a couple of things right on his interior sketch because he saw the interior, but he missed the boat on the NAIAS information. I also believe he'll be proven wrong again when GM gives us the pricing. Chalk it up to someone's first rodeo with what he hoped was privileged information. Hopefully he learns something from all of this and becomes a better forum contributor as a result.

...And as fast as he arrived (with different usernames), he’s now gone. Lesson: if you proclaim to have privileged information and make bold predictions here, you best be right, because your reputation and credibility are at stake. He certainly wasn’t the first and definitely won’t be the last to be eviscerated for promoting what turned out to be bad intel. So long Zerv.

Zerv02 and C8 Reveal at NAIAS
Zerv, You were right, G.M. released the heavily camouflaged C8 Corvette under the top secret code name "Chevy Blazer" This makes your "confirmed" price for the C8 of $169,900 a little suspect. I live near the Milford test facility and I have a friend whose property overlooks part of the test track. I also know 3 engineers that work on the project. These guys are totally professional. No one is talking because it would mean their job.

I have been saying it all along..... I still believe the C8 is going to be revealed sometime this month! I think it will be a stand alone reveal in Detroit! It should have been at the Detroit auto show!!!! Anyways, I am still heading to the show on Friday regardless.....
BTW....key words, "think" and "believe".....

GM's CEO had such a good reception in Washington DC, maybe the C8 ME Reveal will be at the "new" DC Auto show date: April 5-14. Hey, it's on the "media" East Coast!!!
Edit: Remember, I said "maybe" this is not a supposed prediction.

So true. Stockholm syndrome at its finest.

It's too bad he's gone. His threads at least provided a good opportunity for the constant bitchers and moaners to have their daily rants and vents. They should at least thank him for this much even though they feel completely cheated, duped and violated over the reveal date speculation in an area devoted to hearsay and speculation.

Folks need to take a deep breath. There are a lot of more important issues to fret about.

While being ‘hoping and a wishing’ and with the ‘media’ East Coast in mass, let me plug the Black Tie Tailgate Event this Feb, 01 at the Philly Auto Show for the ME reveal. Half way between DC/Balt and NYC/Boston with probably the highest concentration of 911’s on the East too.

Having lived and worked in DC for many years, I don't think so. The DC auto show is not well attended, and manufacturer participation is also rather sparse. It's always been a sad event, and I simply stopped going. While there's no shortage of press in DC, the press corp here is almost exclusively on the political beat. Auto shows simply aren't on their radar.
