I enjoy those "Hitler Rants/Parodies" videos for the humor they bring, not the context of hitler himself.

My wife's family are also Russian & Jewish who had to change their last name & escape the ***** by way of Italy, France & then eventually made it to the US. I don't believe in erasing history as a large chunk of the population does (which by the way is very ****-like) but instead it should be thoroughly studied & learned from. There are identifiable reasons why people & regimes come to power & whether that is in this country or others it needs to be understood. Erasing it or sweeping it under the rug does nothing but allow it to happen again. That being said, I don't find Hitler or anything to do with him funny in the least regardless of the parody & there are probably funnier ways to get the same message across.

I can certainly understand and respect the above sentiments. I am from a mixed family and once removed so I can appreciate the humor but respect the fact that others are put off.

I know some find Mel Brooks and Larry David **** humor very funny but others do not...

It's a joke. Humor. Take it in the vein it is intended instead of trying to make into something it isn't. It's a clever use of a video clip from a movie, not and endorsement for fascism. Unlikely anyone will join the American **** Party after watching it.
