Is anyone else bored with all the "sightings" and lame *** leaks for 3 yrs running. I'm just glad the C7R's are running again this year...I'm not ready for that roaring rumble to be gone from the races.

completely agree..the last few days been looking at all the "spy" shots..my take is the entire side scoop is just tacked on covering the actual inlet vent..including the open door shot where you can see some of the scoop on the door itself... I think its all fake... will be closer to the hand drawn side... nothing like we are seeing on the deco cars..

at least im hoping thats the case lol.... even in the renders (which are done very well ..thanks)... I find myself trying to love the car.. but really NOT liking the side scoop, and for sure that rear spoiler... as long as the spoiler is a bolt on.. that comes off immediately and body shop it perfect... praying for active aero too...

Jesus this became a wish list post... GM ..make it good please

Kind of looks like a 'Z' in the middle of the steering wheel but it's so fuzzy it's hard to tell. Definitely some sort logo there though.

I think it’s protocol for the logo on the steering wheel of any car testing in the real world to be covered with tape.

Default Another piece of the puzzle

That folded back interior dash Camo piece sure seems to agree with FVS’s latest dash rendition as it curves slightly downward across the top to the right. The driver probably needed the Nav screen visible to find a gas station for the next tease reveal pic..

I can’t trace it with an unsteady hand and an iPhone, but you can clearly see a seam where there is a huge piece of hard camo over the scoop.

I agree Quinten and I am very pleased that we may ultimately see a more integrated scoop design.

First off, I absolutely LOVE the renders that have been made by some incredibly talented members on here! And I want to thank them for the time and energy they put into them. But, you would "think" at least one of them would be intuitive enough to realize those side scoops on the camo'ed cars are fake and make a render without them or more integrated into the design. None of the scoops on the renders flow with the overall design of car. The scoops on the mules, camo cars and C8.R are absolutely hideous.

You gotta know GM is laughing their collective a** off at the renders on here knowing full well that the camo and disguise did the treat to fool everyone that caught a glimpse of the cars on the road.

Yep, it definitely is, if not requiring the whole hub and controls of the wheel to be completely covered.

Has anyone bothered to open their phone bluetooth or wifi next to one of these? For all the camoing of cars they do, they forget to change those network names at a frighteningly reckless rate. Anyone within 30' of my last camo project could have easily figured it out just by looking at available wifi networks. If nothing else, it could give clues as to whether it is a Chevy or Caddy branded car.

IIRC, gm protocol is to not broadcast ssid on test cars, you have to input it by name as it isn't visible. Same with bluetooth, although that comes up with a number only I believe.

Edit: take that for what it's worth. That's from a "friend of a friend." So who knows.

1. No it's not a "Z06" or widebody.

2. We saw the "squircle" steering wheel long before Zerv showed up.

3. Clearly lots of BS going on under that camo.

Probably good policy, if true. We don't have many GM programs, and nothing that is in a camo state, but I know quite a few other OEMs aren't as careful.

The day I realized I was driving around in a camo car with every emblem taped and covered and coverings over the entire interior, but when I opened the bluetooth on my phone and seen the make and model being broadcast, I couldn't stop laughing.

Agreed. To me, it looks like everything from the front of the rear wheel to about the middle of the door is all covered/disguised. That fang on the door would be ridiculous to actually have on the car.

They've out-done themselves on the C8. The camo scoop has fooled so many people, as has that rear quarter window thingy.

I drive the MPG area regularly so I'll have to keep an eye peeled for a C8. I caught a few other camo-cars last week at a gas station and captured some nice photos, unfortunately they were boring-*** SUV/CUV crap. I don't think the drivers cared about those things.

Looks like a whole lotta nothing new. This is being dragged on way too long now. Hope it don't end up like the NSX or Supra...

Why do people keep saying this? GM hasn't made any formal announcement that the car is coming. The C7 is only 5 years old. Nothing is "dragged on" because according to GM the release hasn't started. It's not like Acura's botched NSX release or Toyota's with the Supra where the car was acknowledged and used in marketing.
