--- Interior Uncovered ---

Not sure why everyone thinks an all leather interior means the car has to be over 100K? Not saying it can't be but I've seen nicer interiors with more leather and electronics that come well under 100K on the new trucks. Yes I understand they sell more trucks but the top of the line decked out trucks aren't a ton more than the ones without.

Because all the leather shown in these photos is Napa leather and not Mulan leather. Even the seats have Napa leather with Lear-Guilford fabric for the heating and cooling functions. None of the seats on any of the C7 models have Napa leather, only the less expensive Mulan leather.

3 things Jump out at me:
1. The C8 Forum may owe Zerv02 major props (aka an apology)
2. The picture taker took pains to blur out the background...why?
3. The steering wheel looks worn and shiny in spots. Test mule?
4. (who's counting) It looks pretty freaking sweet. I like the seat design...
5. Sadly, I do not see a manual gear shift working in this center console design, thereby confirming no manual transmission will be available.

I’m speechless. The C7 interior makes the C6’s look pretty bad, but this just does the same to the C7’s interior. The seat is my favorite part so far. Can someone do a full render of it now?
Thanks zerv02.

This is just a mule interior. The dead giveaways are the wear and tear on the steering wheel / seats, the mismatched seat / dash (black with red stitch seats and cream dash) and the camo panel that has been lifted, but is still visible on the top of the dash.
Mules have production interior pieces to test fitment and quality underneath the tarps. The background blur is to conceal where the photos were taken and the panel blur is to hide the identifiable mule numbers. However, this is a planned leak.

I would personally want a more durable, textured leather

This scares me a little. This does not look like a $70K car to me. I sure hope I'm wrong.

5. Agreed. This confirms for me there will sadly be no manual C8. Even trying to put one where the cupholders were would block the nav mouse. And no way GM is going to develop two completely different center stack configurations to allow for the manual shifter. The interior was obviously optimized to only ever be a DCT/auto.
Other note, I see a heat wheel button and love how the HVAC controls are still physical buttons. Hate having to go into the screen in never cars for that stuff.
Can anyone tell what button we are seeing to the right of the nose lift? TC, or maybe loud exhaust?

You folks will be more than happy with a double clutch automatic...go to your Porsche Store and drive any used Boxster with a PDK double clutch transmission for about 15 mins in town and highway...those double clutch transmissions are very easy to like (love). My opinion...

Looks great, love the new steering wheel and controls. Thank goodness for the physical buttons, and not a rush to all touchscreen controls.
To the people crying and moaning about the quality of the leather (and that the cabin is full of leather), go out and get yourself a Camaro or buy a used C6. This is Chevy's HALO CAR, and should always be at the top of the heap, not filled with cheap materials for a bargain basement price. If you are worried about treating quality leather like you're going to ruin it with your fingernail (someone's actual comment) you obviously need to spend some more time in cars with quality interiors. The cheap materials you're used to get scratched and damaged much easier than quality leather materials.

That is the logical thinking and most of us here agree. But the point is, if Zerv is right about the interior that many didn't believe he had access to, he may be right about the price too, unfortunately. Going back to his "Pricing" thread, I don't think he meant it tops out at $169k. Of course, it doesn't make sense to price it that high, but then again, not many people believed him on the interior either.
