This is a situation of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
The Corvette formula has been in place for 60+ successful years, why muck with it?

But then again all those under 25, still living at home, who agree with you but have no money to buy one, will have a large C8 poster on their bedroom wall so they can tell all their friends, "See GM can beat the best!" "
I'd appreciate if this forum stopped consistently attacking people in their twenties

Thanks

I'd appreciate if this forum stopped consistently attacking people in their sixties(who are the one's that actually keep the Corvette alive, by buying the majority of new Corvettes from GM each year).

Thanks

.....

My generation has been handed crippling education, housing, and healthcare costs and somehow we are constantly classified as lazy P.O.S.

I'm 27 - I make 6 figures and I own a house in southern California..

So yeah I think that statement is pretty arrogant and rude

Do you consider yourself the normal 27 year old or the exception?

Sorry bud, but that is life. You can't even imagine a world without smart phones and internet. You are growing up in the best of times. You wouldn't even know how to survive before the 90's. So, I'd hope you are making 6 figured by the time you are 27. You have the world at your finger tips. Move it along.

No one ever doubted that ZERV had a buddy that showed him the actual car.

It's all the other stuff that is clearly way off base.

I suspect he has a GM friend, and that's cool, but inside info is limited.

That was not meant as an attack!
See you are in LA. Have daughter and family in San Antonio Heights (Upland) with 3 grandchildren, the oldest has my great grandchild and one on the way. Will visit soon!

Ummm, about 1350 $140K Corvettes (ZL1s) have been ordered and sold to date. At the current pace, less than 2K will be sold in the 12 months since intro. If you think that's a "very decent number, " OK.

Yep if my youngest granddaughter (who just graduated Scripps College where daughter graduated then worked as and did her oldest, the one with my Great Grandson) read my post she would say the same and look for a safe place!

Although I understand this PC stuff and try to be careful, the world is a tough place and what I joked about is certainly true for some and minor to what will be encountered in life! It was said to provide a business perspective on why even a $105,000 entry level Vette is NOT a logical thing for GM to produce and why it won't happen.

When an early teen I had posters of cars on my wall as well of cars I could not afford!

Yes, I know, living in the age of the internet makes up for the fact of crippling healthcare, education, and housing costs. Your generation could buy a house and support a family with a high school education.

All I did was go on the internet and magically I got my job and house

Amazing times we live in!

My generation? I'm 42. Haha. I got to see and live through both era's. Your generation wasn't left with anything worse than what we were left with. Ya'll have it way easier now than in any generation in the history of man kind. The fact that ya'll complain about it is why you get cracked on by older gens. You have it made.

Insinuating an entire generation is lazy while they struggle with skyrocketed costs is not a "PC" issue...

I don't understand the heavy superiority complex on here. You must be fun at parties

You don't get it
Yougsta. You still don't get it. You haven't been "left" with skyrocketing costs. That's like me blaming my parents for leaving us with $.80 gas when they paid .05 for their gas back in the 50's. Guess what? When you have kids and you are in your 40's and 50's, gas will be $5 if not more, then they will blame you for it. That is the cycle of life. Fk. Dealing with you kids is something else. Still blaming others. If anything, it's our generation that gave you the ability to make 6 figures at the age of 27.

Adjusted for inflation, wages have not moved for the past 30 years.

Adjusted for inflation, healthcare, education, and housing have gone thru the ceiling

Jobs have left to go overseas thanks to our excellent trade deals (sarcasm)

Those are facts. If you don't agree on these basic set of facts, then you are wasting my time debating with me.

So yes, my generation has been dealt ****
