Default C8 Detroit Debut

Nope, nothing. They should have put it out there, even if it’s not ready for sale until 2021.

Was hoping for a teaser video of some kind acknowledging the car... to steal the GT500's thunder a little.

Agreed, I think it looks better than the FT or whatever the concept version was called. Too bad it's a BMW parts bin vehicle...it will likely be plagued with typical BMW issues.

Supra has way too many lines and curves. Like a designer was doodling circles and they turned it into a car

yeah, go for it, and then watch if get buffeted by the C8 blasting by you, not to mention the C7Z06 or the C6Z06, especially those that AHP has turned into road rockets....

It looks okay IMO. Would be much more appealing of the starting price was $10K less.

Looks are obviously subjective... but to me, the FT-1 was absolutely gorgeous... the Supra I see now lost many of the features I loved about the FT-1 and just looks bloated compared to the FT-1 concept.

Exactly it's a turd. They took the lovely concept and made it "fit" a Z4 chassis.

GM has to let ford win a little sometimes. No but in all seriousness, the big three do sometimes coordinate not stepping on each other... or not. What would look better, GT500 and C8 at the same time or the C8 getting the spotlight all to itself? IMO, they play a very delicate game.

Exactly. Destroyed the car. FT-1 had lots of promise and the Supra looks like the snub-nosed retarded cousin.

Genesis (Hyundai) is sneaking up quickly on a lot of manufacturers. They do a great job of "borrowing" the best styling cues from everyone else, and producing very eye pleasing designs. It's quite a coup for them to win the 2019 Car of the Year Award.

Agreed. Would not expect to many huzzahs on the Corvette forums, but the G70 is a good looker and offers plenty of value for the money.

Supra exterior isn't too bad IMO, but totally disappointed by the interior. Never been a fan of BMW interiors to begin with, and that thing is basically a 100% BMW interior with a Toyota-logo steering wheel tacked on.

GM HAS to let Cadillac win a little sometimes. GM, IMHO, had to let the spotlight show on the new Cadillac EV SUV. GM isn't going to let the Cadillac sink without a fight, so they held off showing the Corvette.

Last year Cadillac sold 356,467 vehicles worldwide. That is 10 times the amount normally sold by the Corvette. GM isn't going to sacrifice Cadillac just so the Corvette can have the spotlight at the auto show.

GM's bottom line is helped more by selling 360K Cadillacs vs selling 36k Corvettes.

GM can now show the new Corvette at a different venue, get all the spot light, and not take away from Cadillac's new EV SUV.

There is talk of revealing it at the Bash at the end of April.
