I see the Cadillac Blackwing engine and a transmission but I don’t see a Chevy engine or a transaxle. Guess they could revamp the engine by dumping the hot V but that transmission will never work, needs side outputs not rear output.

I think it's clickbait BS. There is zero evidence that the Cadillac blackwing engine is going into the Corvette. Even the CAD leaks show a different twin turbo engine. Your title and thumbnail claiming "C8 powertrain exposed!!!!" is total crap.

^^^ I said a version of the Caddy engine. I think the C8 will have a 5.5 liter displacement making 650hp. The DCT will need reconfigured for use in a mid engine car.

Why do people keep saying that the same DCT used by the GT500 will be used in the ME Corvette? Makes no sense... the GT500 uses a transmission, whereas the ME car will need a transAXLE... one gets bolted to a driveshaft connected to a differential, the other gets bolted to two axles.... perhaps they will share some internals, but I am pretty certain they will not "share the same DCT".

Everything about your title and thumbnail is misleading BS. Plain and simple. You made a video about a Cadillac engine, that's cool and it's a slick new engine. But why all the "C8 powertrain exposed!!!!!!!"? The C8 currently has nothing to do with this engine. Nothing was exposed. No need for the misleading BS to try and draw people in.

With a transaxle your outputs are on the sides, not the rear. The Cad below clearly shows the output on the side.

This is what happens when an awkward middle aged dude figures out how to use a camera. Really getting tired of your clickbait BS.

At that point ,can we say that those outputs would be centered to the rear wheel location?
Another question (again based on that CAD)is 100% of the engine between the rear axel and the back seats?Or is the transaxle considered part of the engine?
Thanks in advance guys.

Thanks for clarifying Tom73 and kozmic, now I have a clear picture.

The only thing exposed is the fraud behind the camera and the OP.

Isn't it better to provide pics & context in addition to explaining what I observed on the powertrains in person rather than just stating words in a forum??? Of course its all speculation but thats all we can do until its released and this should be fun & open for anyone to express their opinion. I don't understand the hostility, no one is forcing you to watch or participate.
