The GT was a limited edition, street legal track car, you can pull off development strictly in secrecy in something like that because your normal NVH and usability crap that people care about in a daily driver kinda goes out the window with such a vehicle. The Corvette is a performance oriented street car. If you don't want ****-poor reviews when people actually buy them and drive them 15,20,30000 miles in a year, you need to do development outside of a test track. Heck, how much bitching goes on here about Corvettes crappy interiors? That stuff can't be sorted out driving in circles around a race track.

If you want a good product, you cannot avoid prototypes in public, it is that simple.
You are nice again not making any sense. Go back and read my post.

I've seen comical threads in this section before, and this one is right up there with the best. There is no delay, GM has made no promises on when, has not officially acknowledged it's existence, it's normal, and it's no different than what happens when virtually every other car maker develops an entirely new model.

The only real difference is this is the Corvette Forum. However, the same lunacy occurs on other car make forums.

When did we say there was a delay??? Thanks for adding nothing of value to the thread.

Technically there has been a delay. The plant tours were supposed to resume this month and were advertised as such. Then right around the time the "electrical delay" came about the NCM changed their website text and the plant tours are back to closed "indefinitely". That is all I need to know they planned a January reveal and it was backed up.

I kept on wondering what you were talking about when you continuously kept on replying to me about your source being your supposed experience at proving grounds, when that was not even what we are discussing. I then went back to the OP and read from there. I then confirmed my suspicion that people on this forum have EXTREMELY poor reading comprehension.

And then after confirming for the billionth time that people on this forum have very very bad reading comprehension, I went on to read THIS reply. Once again talking about stuff that isn't being discussed. We were not talking about the car being delayed, not sure how you got that from reading the thread. Then you go on to provide more useless information that we not only already know but it provides no value to the thread.

Do not try to derail the thread. The best part is when people are called out for adding useless crap to a thread, they then get defensive and derail the thread and get all offended when THEY are the wrong one.

Let's take this lunacy apart:

First you point out that there are no new leaks or spy shots, and then imply that's GM's fault for not letting stuff out. As we've discussed here a bunch of times before: GM doesn't "leak" information out. Spy shots happen when spy photogs get lucky. Not when GM lets them get lucky. If you believe otherwise, you're mistaken.

So point one: the lack of recent "spy" anything or "leak" anything isn't on GM.

We're tired of waiting
Who's this "we" you're referring to? Is it the royal "we"? Or are you part of some group that's expecting GM to announce something?

most of us have been following this project since the original spy shots surfaced when
That's again not GM's fault for you getting all spun up over spy photos.

I don't care if it doesn't start production until a year after the reveal, by all means take your time and make the car perfect. But please, unveil the car soon
Not gonna happen. It'll be unveiled when they're fully ready to show it and talk about it. And it seems as though, at the moment: they're not ready.

I just need to see what this car looks like inside and out, and the specs it's going to have!
Ah. So now "we're" back to "I". Well you're just going to have to wait. You'll see it when GM's good and ready to let you see it. Bitching about it here isn't going accelerate that in the least.

My answer: When did I say that it was GM's fault?? Obviously they dont let info leak out.

Plenty of people in this thread referred to the "delay," and despite your insulting post, mine added the factual perspective that nothing happening in this case is unusual at any manufacturer.

Agreed, particularly with regard to the comical stuff I'm reading in this thread. That was my point, and thanks for adding "nothing of value" to this thread in your latest post above. Congrats on the epic thread fail.

You're free to leave it any time you'd like. In fact if you continue with your insulting diatribes, you'll be escorted off of it.
