Even then, there is a lot of doubts about profitability. Unless the whole thing is a marketing write-off where profitability isn't concerned, like the GT.

I had a 2013 Porsche Boxster S. Fabulous car.

You can't be serious? The Boxter is a market compromise. It is an enbarrassment. It truly is a hairdressers car or secretaries car. That car was meant to cater to people that concede to mediocrity.

I love Costco too! But I won’t show up in any freaking hairdresser’s car. If I’m not driving a truck, it’ll be a ME Corvette.

I'm starting to think this forum is filled with little but Chevy fanboys who have no roots in reality.

Only problem will be that won't have enough space for the big box stuff at Costco...

I drove a friends Boxter S recently at their insistent request. I know what reality is after driving it.

She was good looking but that guy was a wimp and accepted the SUV!

I only drive the wife's' BMW X5 SUV when it's raining OR I have to go to Sam's and picking up multiple large packages of paper towels, toilet tissues or facial tissues. Can only fit two in the C7 with one in the passenger seat!

Wonder if there will be room for more than 1 other than that in the C8 passenger seat??

Haha, should my takeaway be that only wimpy guys (try to) buy themselves trucks then? :P

Nah, I'm just joking around, but I do find it hilarious that a car with a reputation for skimping on its interior in part to make a price point has a bunch of people mocking a car that they supposedly think is flawed because thew view it as compromising to make a price point.

C'mon Mang. Boxster? Seriously? I live in SW Florida and see 75 Porsches a day. Boxsters are nothing special and literally everywhere. I honestly cannot remember the last time I saw a man driving a Boxster. Most car guys assume a guy is gay if he drives a Boxster in this area. The Boxster is a better looking car than the ugly, boring, Beetle "esque" 911.

Yeah, I'm not really taking advice from a guy who buys sports cars but never drives them in a manner that bolsters are needed and yet who insists on using his car to assert his manlihood every time something supposedly more feminine or gay comes up.

I doubt if I am the only enthusiast here who notices how some Porsche fanboys in disguise get their sensitive ***** busted in a million pieces when they read posts pointing out the excessive prices and obvious shortcomings of these P-cars.

So you're saying you dig guys who drive around in Boxsters? That's cool, man, but why are you sharing this with us?

Predictable projection, considering you seem to overreact at the mere mention of Porsches and Miatas.

And anyhow, if we're talking being fans of German cars, I'm far more apt to be a fan of BMW M series. Never really had a thing for Porsches, but as I stated when you got upset over Miatas, I can appreciate all cars. FWIW, I (very briefly) cross-shopped 944s with the Corvette too, I have exactly zero issue saying that was quicky dropped from contention due to service costs.

The Boxter/Cayman is a market compromise as it was designed to accomodate a much lower pricepoint for the tradtional 911 buyer. The Boxter/Cayman car was never a Corvette competitor despite what some Porsche owners attempt to purvey.

Yes. I am serious about two statements. 1. the Boxster is a wonderful car, and I have owned far more cars than have most folks. 2. Your remarks about people show a great deal of ignorance and prejudice on your part.
