Corvette by Chevrolet ....
Hope everybody got some positions in American crow futures....the price is gonna skyrocket .
No corvette brand
Its a Chevy
priced within a range of the previous model
No simultaneous debut with the non existant C7.5
No 169900$ starting price
Exciting Times ahead, and great news for my children’s
college fund...I’ll get away with buying the car for under 70 000.

I'm kind of with '69' on his comments. It's kind of blah. For such a major change to the car I expected a totally revised logo, not just basically a tighter 'V'. There have been various logos used throughout the generations so having something different for the C8 would not be historically damaging like changing it from something used since its' inception in '53. I get the idea to be consistent with a brand/marque, but with such a huge difference in format it should take on a new logo as well. Just another example of GM styling not staying in front of the other manufacturers as they were in the golden '50's-'60's era. The 'new' Camaro and Chevy/GMC trucks are not exactly getting rave reviews from many regarding their restyle. Too bad...

Cool comparison. Yeah, it is very much the C5 format with some minor tweaks. Looks clean and nice.

Yes, It's very derivative of the C7 badge but thats not a bad thing. In fact I think it will relate to the front hood crease lines in plan view. The Corvette design team is very good at designing orthogenally.

I have no problem with the slightly modified flags in the new logo, but I wish GM would have changed the surrounding "metal" appearance to be something other than chrome. That would have been a nice forward-looking statement: "We're leaving chrome behind".

With this being out there, I wonder if we're finally getting close to an official "signal" from GM... whether it be an announcement or (hopefully) some video teaser(s).

If you squint your eyes and stare at the new C8 Logo for two minutes, you can see the shape of the side intake scoops....

Why keep messing with the logo? This is our history:
Corvette Hood Emblem 1953 -
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For example - Ferrari has kept true to their origins since the first Ferrari badged car in 1947:
1947 Ferrari Hood Emblem -
2019 Ferrari Hood Emblem -
I am proud of the 1953 Corvette badge and what it represents. I'm sorry the GM marketing people feel the continual need to 'refresh' the image. Let the new car speak for itself and wear its heritage proudly!

The Ferrari badge is timeless. Very, very few brands can make that same boast.
