"Corvette" script comparison C4 through C8
C4 through C8 top to bottom. New C8 script looks like a massaged C5 one with a different R, split up Ts, slightly different E.

Exactly right.Looks like they reduce the height slightly giving it a slightly more italicized look
certainly seems that between the font and logo they are trying to maintain the Corvette brand identity very closely
small moves.

That's pretty much the same font as the by Chevrolet on car designations used in the 60s/early 70s iirc. The interior one on the breadbox in c4s is slightly different than the exterior... fun.

Im just saying it’s still a Chevrolet Corvette, not a Zora or a stand alone brand that some folks have been processing. I can forsee the name Corvette Zora possibly replacing Corvette ZR1, but after 66 years it will still be a Checrolet Corvette.

Yeah a Manta Ray is a large loafing animal. Lets just have the base car be.... gasp.... a Chevrolet Corvette. I own a C7 Stingray and while it's a bit neat it's odd when they dropped the name for the GS, Z06, and ZR1. It would have made sense to have all C7s be Corvette Stingray i.e.Corvette Stingray, Stingray Z06, Stingray Grand Sport, and Stingray ZR1.

I really don't care what they call them. I only pay attention to the performance specs, and mine have always been referred to simply as Corvettes.

C6 Lettering looks most race inspired to me.
The C8 lettering looks.... plain.
