Do all "one off" performance car models (Ford GT, LFA, NSX), all do this much cold weather testing?

It feels like GM is planning for a whole bunch of people to drive this car in all weather conditions...

I doubt FGT did, because it's really NOT a production car. I suspect all others do.

I too question the dating of those photos. Provenance?

I checked the weather records for the Nuremberg area and it was 0 deg C overnight in early January. I hardly think roses bloom in the dead of winter in Germany.

The car is one of the 4 that were seen in early September. I think the photo is from that period.

Roof shorter than the door handles on the midsize CUV next to it.

Still believe it will be the same general size as C7 z06. Length, width and height.

Nobody is shooting an honest messenger.

It was you however that stated this as fact
Apparently, GM was/still is road testing in Europe. The pictures below were literally taken one month ago in Germany on 01/08/2019. Go Figure...
So, was that a fact or just a fake fact?

Eh that one is probably destined for the crusher anyhow. No point in keeping it out of the salt.

First off, running around AH is likely not cold weather testing. Cold weather testing generally is taking place at a cold weather facility, where the weather is far mire predictable. Many suppliers have access to those vehicles as well, we can't stop development for a couple months a year, it is just as likely they are doing something they could be doing in July, and it just happens to be in February.

Secondly, a lot of what happens at cold weather testing is traction and stability related, not just HVAC and fluid temp related, my guess is that any performance car spends considerable time in the cold.

Comments as to how my adjustment result displays on your screen. Interested if you see it differently.

when I say huge... the front wheel, then the door, compared with a c5/6 at the rear of the door look how long the distance is to the front of the rear wheel compared to the rear door of a c5/6.

The c8 will be much bigger than c5 sitting in the garage.

Photo makes it look very long and low. Very sexy. Especially since most rear-engine cars have very short stubby noses with tiny front trunks

Any chance there’s a glass hood option to show a pretty, rumbling V8 underneath?

Speaking on perspective, I'm not sure which CUV that is (Forester?), but it looks TINY.
If the picture was taken next to an F-250, people would be crying "It's too small, where are my golf bags going to sit?!"

In this shot, it looks like Grandpa is going to have some trouble getting out the car for his 8am tee time...

Based on the wheel size, - wheel base is near identical.

The overall height, beltline and grill height is near identical.

If you like the C7 for these proportions... you should be happy with the c8...
