Default 2019 Bash

I have been saying for months that the new C8 will be unveiled at the Corvette Museum. Well i was asking a GM engineer i met years ago at Carlisle who has become a friend over the years this will the unveiling will be at the bash? His response was BULLSEYE!!!!!!!!. A group of us will be headed to the bash the end of August to see the new C8 at the unveiling. Let me correct myself the 2019 Corvette caravan August 27-31 my bad!!!!!

No way the official initial unveiling will be at the Corvette Caravan. There is virtually no national/international press coverage at the caravan. It may certainly be featured there, but not unveiled. Just my reasoned opinion.

Maybe you meant to say here posted in another CF thread by ShagVett:

“2019 Caravan, NCM 25th Anniversary Celebration, & Hall of Fame Induction

Will the ME be at the NCM Anniversary Celebration in August? Very likely. But will it be revealed there...I would be surprised.

Hey Hunter - just to clarify - you feel the unveiling will be at the Caravan in August (as we both agreed on in our posts)...not the Bash in April... Am I correct that is what you and the GM Engineer discussed? Thanks!

imo i would think GM would go with a bigger SPLASH at a major venue like LA.
they know they already have their loyal fan base at the smaller bash, and need to appeal to new a larger audience with maximum coverage.

As i've boringly posted before, this constant teasing is getting wearisome.
Hopefully it is more of just trying to get it right right out of the box.

Thanks for the info...albeit a bit confusing. Still not sure if it means April or August... "bullseye" for the "Bash" but the Bash is in April...

... and as for laughing last as best... to me, it just means they didn't get it as fast as everyone else... ; )

If the unveiling occurs in April it will be at the NY Auto Show not at the Corvette Museum.
If it occurs in the summer anything might happen. Corvette Magazine says the unveil will be a stand alone event this summer, so who knows.

I've been wondering what they will do at the Bash! Here is an option:

The C8 will be there just like it was in Germany. It will be camouflaged and it a roped off area!

Heck lots of folks saw it in Germany - close up!

That is a very exciting option. A happy thought. Thanks Jerry. See you there, our hanging cameras over the rope pointing at the car.

^^^
Comment reminds me of many years ago when at Trade Shows. Bought a very small 126 film, Pentax SLR with interchangeable lenses and a separate flash. Loved going to the exhibits from Japan, getting close to a product and pulling it out of my pocket and taking pictures. Could put the small telephoto lens on if you could not get close!

The engineers from Japan were always doing that in our booth with our new products!

^^^^^^ Maybe that, and I’m rooting for the final ‘FINAL’ C7 (C7.1?) to be revealed. No Camo, just a car cover and roped off.

Very interesting idea, bringing the C8 to the Bash, still in camo ( if not revealed by then). Do a quick drive by, and maybe park it in a roped off area...
