The parking lot of my local golf course faces the street. I never see Corvettes in there. The golf & Corvettes stereotype probably went out in the '60s if it ever really existed at all. I doubt my C7 could carry two sets of clubs.

I want a killer-looking, bad-*** performing, beautifully turned out and appointed car. If the C8 satisfies those requirements and can carry enough luggage for a road trip for a week or so, I'll be more than satisfied.

Where I worked there was a driving range next door.

I put one of these on my buddies car.

Space is important to me, any less than 10 to 15 cubic feet and I'm out. Preferably continuous in a single partition and not in a fashion where I have to stack stuff.

If golf is a consideration for buying or not buy the C8, you're considering this car for the WRONG DAMN REASON.

Who cares if a C8 will carry golf clubs or not????

The storage space matters to me. While it's a second car, it's the "fun" car that I want to drive to go play any of the sports - golf, tennis, etc. And I usually have a passenger with me. So limited trunk space is a deal breaker for me, even though it's a toy.

Sports equipment is not at the top of my priorities for cargo capacity. It does have to carry my document wheelie bag, and my 17" laptop in its case for work.

My C5 Z06 was able to fit a case of wine in the trunk.

No way will one fit in the NSX, and the trunk temps would turn it into vinegar.

Nice, what size frame is that & does the front wheel just lays on top of the frame? I would like to try that.

To answer the question at hand: folks who daily their car will probably be put off, people who use it on a limited basis probably won't. People use their vehicles for all sorts of uses, at one point GM saw a market need to fit golf clubs.

People who golf, and people who can understand the golf clubs are simply a convenient analog to say a car has storage space for most of what one would use on any sort of regular basis?

I'd much prefer if they measure trunks in hockey bag capacities, but golf clubs are far more standard.

I'm an avid golfer (single-digit handicap) and have carried my clubs in both my previous C6s and my current C7. Corvettes are golf friendly. But people buy them for various reasons. The Corvette just happens to meet my need for space, speed, and style.

Maybe so, but every Corvette since the C4 has been able to carry two sets of golf clubs plus some additional gear.
About 1/2 my limited annual mileage is going to and from either my club or other golf courses. If the C8 can't hold 2 sets of clubs, I am not sure I'd buy one. If you do away with the utility of the Corvette, I am far more inclined to buy a Ferrari or McLaren as my limited use weekender.

If not enough space for a 2 week road trip with my better half, I'm out.

The golf bag(s) "issue" is hilarious and honestly so is golf. Played that stupid *** game for years and now look back and wonder why. What an incredible waste of time and money. Good game for fat old men that love to drink and talk about how good they were.

That's me, so I got me one of these for my track tires. With the track tires removed, it will hold at least 10 golf bags, properly strapped down so they won't blow off at the 180 mph speeds I typically attain between my home and the golf course.

For those ranting about golf being useless should this be titled "1.6 ft x 1.6 ft x 4 ft luggage space" or "10 cubic feet luggage space"?

The wife says the same thing about sports cars.

But again, people use their cars for different purposes. If I daily drove a Corvette and it didn't fit a hockey bag and sticks, it would indeed be a deal breaker for me. Even took that stuff to the dealer when I bought my Mustang to verify it did, because it was a deal breaker.
