I can see it... especially with a Porsche. They're as practical, in some cases more practical, than a Corvette. If you get an AWD one with all-seasons you can easily drive it all the time most anywhere. They also have back seats for taking a kid around as needed. Every time I consider getting rid of my truck and doing the sports car all the time thing I magically have to pull a trailer or move something large and I remember why I always want to have a truck!

This is my challenge as well - way too many hobbies and projects that require towing & toting to give up my DD.

Only 3% plan to trailer it to car shows. About half will daily drive the **** like it's meant to be driven.

If the C8's cargo capacity doesn't at least match that of the C7 then it will flop on the market like the latest Camaro.

I will use mine the same way I use my current corvette:

I move it from the garage to the driveway when I want to work on a project that requires saw dust in my garage.
When, I am not doing that I will keep it under a cover in my garage.
I will drive it infrequently always having a weak excuse to use one of my other vehicles.
I will occasionally wonder why I own it, but refuse to sell it out of fear that my wife will tell me "I told you wouldn't use it"

Daily driver so long as it doesn’t rain? Not sure if that falls under the DD category or not.

Hoping I can get over the rain issue so I can truly drive it daily.

Glad to be one of the 3% that can afford a new truck and enclosed trailer to haul my past C7 and current new 911. I also choose to trailer my Harley in my enclosed bike trailer. Don’t give a rats *** about those that beat their chest and drag their knuckles proclaiming their man hood. I am sure you agree!

I ordered my C7 with daily driving in mind, I hope I could do the same with the C8.

Good for you. The point is that most Corvette buyers need practical cargo capacity. They use their 'Vettes to road trip, daily drive, and find excuses to go on errands. Any chance to drive they'll take. A ME toy without cargo space won't be very appealing to such buyers.

Unless Corvettes have been stored in a bubble from day one they have already been rained on. The storage lot, train, and the truck that delivers them ..oh and at most dealers.

My C8 will be garage-kept with perfect paint and a spotless interior. Detailed monthly, never raced or driven hard. I will definitely show it off to all of my friends. I'll put it right next to my C7 GS Collector's Edition, Huracan Performante, and my GT2 RS. I should be taking delivery from Maisto soon after production begins. I may get two just to flex on you all, but I'll need more storage space. We'll see.

Nice weather daily driver and weekend cruiser. When it's summer in Oregon I put about 500-1,000 miles a month on my GS, because from November - April there's not much opportunity to drive it at all. I plan to do the same for the C8.
