LOL @ him analyzing the thickly camouflaged spoiler like it's the real deal.
The whole car is so cunningly camouflaged that I think NOBODY will ever tease out the actual form and proportions. All sorts of lines and bulges have been altered, sometimes heavily, to cloak the C8's overall gesture. It will drop on the automotive world like a nuclear bomb.
Of interest is how well the hood vent shows up in the pics. I had thought the vented hood would only be used on the "Z" models, yet there it is, and apparently unnecessary since it's covered over. Would the base model will have a faux vent on the hood, with an open vent on the "Z" models? Given how brilliant the C8's design is I would be shocked at such a cheesy accoutrement, but it is still a Chevy so maybe GM has a rulebook someplace that requires Chevy products to have a minimum amount of tacky styling affectations? Kind of like a minimum flair requirement? I remember Tom Peters talking about how much red tape they had to go through to use a smaller Chevy badge on the gen6 Camaro, so maybe?

Lights are very different than the ones from the other day. Also the rear looks pretty bad ***. Not a huge fan of the spoiler but it works.
Also, you don't think the rear hatch is entirely glass do you? The camo over the rear window could be hinting at that possibility.

Dear God please let that droopy spoiler be a fake. It looks like it melted in the hot sun somewhere.

Could be an extra instrument gauge (fuel pressure? boost?) like on the old Pontiac Judges:

That wing, indeed, does look...broken. Granted, unmasked and all one color it may be better but...if that's what we get....eeesh....I'm not sure about it.
That being said, this whole SLOW *** reveal is pretty f'n boring. I hate to praise Porsche...but their approach with the 992 has been pretty refreshing...the thing just appeared....tada. Now, the 992 turbo just appeared...boom. This 3 yr spy photo thing is exhausting.
