About 12 more weeks tops
That's my guess as to when the ME C8 will be introduced. Of course, this is just a guess, but I do base it on what makes sense to me after considering everything that I have read and heard. The NYC show is in 7 weeks and the car could be introduced then. However, what makes more sense to me is a world wide inter net introduction from the GM Renaissance Center at their Detroit headquarters, sometime by the end of May, or possibly before. I recently learned that the BG factory plans on stopping the production of 2019 C7's by June. Think about that. If true, that says much about the future. GM will not close the factory down for an undetermined lengthy amount of time. Production of the 2020 ME C8 could begin by the end of summer at the latest. Right now there are over 9000 new C7's sitting on dealer's lots. Two dealers that I have spoken to are pushing the sale of current inventory big time with customer incentives as opposed to special ordering a car for a customer. Customer orders and dealer floor orders are almost nil at this moment. In fact, one dealer of which I know has an unfulfilled allocation for a 2019 ZR1. The reason for this post is simply food for thought, for that is what car forums are really all about. If you agree, disagree or have no opinion one way or the other, that is fine with me. If you want to criticize simply because you feel that there have been too many posts about speculation, well, that's on you. It would be greatly appreciated by me, and probably many others, if those criticisms are kept to ones self. Other than that, I welcome all opinions.

FWIW spoke with one of the large corvette dealers yesterday asking them if they had any kind of list or were taking deposits. His reply was simply "shortly"...
Took that as encouraging..

So much wrong info in this thread. I hope no one makes their plans based on the suppositions here.

And while it is true dealers will offer great deals on cars sitting in lots, they will still order cars. I've chatted with two in DFW about ordering a Z while they have a couple sitting on their lots and there are a few in the region. And no ZR1 allocations that I have heard of within 250 miles of DFW.

GM will make their move when they are good and ready to release the info on the 2021 or 2022 ME vehicle. People need to throttle down and just idle along. All these nonsense posts ARENOT going to speed up ANYTHING. Throttle down, turbo. Throttle...down.

Now were just assuming it's not a 2020?

Yup. Another "I heard" or "I learned" without any hard evidence or facts.

Yet another wasted thread on when the C8 will be revealed. We haven't had one for several days so I guess we were due.

1. Some folks read it and responded with intelligent thought.
2. You took the time to both read it and inject a negative response. But i guess that made you feel a bit better.

Exactly. What some may call his source, he may call his good friend. Why would he ever jeopardize a friendship for a little credibility on a forum? Why would he get someone fired or even thrown in jail for that cred? He has his own forum to be credible on, anyways.

Why would he come on here and insert his opinion as fact then? Ronnie gets heat for posting his opinion, and stating so, but it's okay for others? No.

2020 C6 of the Year Winner - Modified
one of the large Corvette dealers said they don’t have a waiting list & weren’t taking deposits yet some here have had deposits in & been on the waitlist for years. Seems like this large Corvette dealer is a bit behind.

Once they find a buyer at full MSRP they will be more than happy to order one. Besides, not too many allocations are out there.
