Looks like we might still have another year of the C7?

It says "Stingray/Z06" because they don't want to use the C8 code name or any real name so as to not acknowledge the car. I don't see this as proof of a FE car. I think the FE wraps up here next month and then we wait. As one poster said, we may have a 1983 situation if it takes GM too long to get the car right.

Maybe because putting that internal code confirms a new car is coming? Any why only say Stingray/Z06? What about the Grand Sport and ZR1. You could read a lot into this stuff, but I think at this point the C7 is going away very soon.

It'd be nice to see what one of these sheets looks like from previous years. I'm not sure why they've got it broken down as Stingray / Z06 rather than coupe / convertible like the Camaro. I guess it could be a widebody / narrow body thing, but it's still confusing.

I was thinking that as well... seeing a couple earlier years would be telling.

Are dealers still taking orders for the C7? If they are I'd speculate there's at least 3 months of production remaining. But, with a current 232 day supply, 9000 car inventory, no GM incentives and BGA still building nearly 500 C7's per week, I think dealers could be quietly building up C7 stock for a long layover between models..

My local dealer is heavy on C7s on purpose; 30+ in stock. He wants his allocations to make $$$ selling C8s at MSRP or over. Knowing them they'll probably try the "market adjustment" on the first batch of C8s.

While the actual cars may not yet have been announced, GM did announce long ago that they would be built on the new Alpha II platform. That is no secret.

I know timing and volume on some as-of-yet unrevealed programs, good luck getting that out of me.

I hope he's wrong. But if you assume the car was supposed to go into production some time in July, December would track pretty closely with the rumored six month delay.

Just added up the Kerbeck Inventory. Why? they are the largest Vette Dealer for a reason! Have ordered several Vettes from them- great folks.
They also know better than any of us the situation of when the C8 "might" be available. Didn't say they know but their guess has impact on their ability to sell the ~1200/year they have been selling. Note that number may change with the current confused situation. Other large volume forum dealers are in a similar position. There guess on what to order will impact their profits! Much bigger deal for them than those who are waiting to buy a C7 for a few thousand more discount!
Currently Kerbeck has ~168 in stock, lower than they have had which is often ~250. Discounts vary from 15% to all 38 Z06's being only 12%. For those who are used to haggling- what you see it what you'll get!
To sell ~1200/year means you are typically ordering/selling ~25 cars/week. Note some are ordered for what a customer wants.
REASON FOR MENTIONING:
When the Bowing Green plant was scheduled to close in the summer of 2017 for a wide estimate of time, I thought, if it's delayed prices could increase for cars in stock once dealers can no longer order cars! In February 2017 discounts were there usual winter highs. Kerbeck had well over 200 cars in stock. I decided to sell my 2014 Z51 a bit earlier than planned and order a Grand Sport, "built to my specs." When Dealers could not longer order 2017's Kerbeck discounts did in fact decrease. Why not, if you only have a fixed inventory and orders are coming in faster than you anticipate being able to get new inventory- WHY NOT REDUCE DISCOUNTS??
BOTTOM LINE
169 cars in stock is low for Kerbeck. If you want a Z06 that 12% discount for those 38 in stock (OR ordered for a customer) may not get larger- many get less! If you want a Z51 (for whatever reason, like you drive thorough cold weather and use winter or all season tires) they have none in stock. Been that way for a while since the Grand Sport price is not much more than a Z51 with MRC option. There are also few Verts in stock- 9 base, 8 GS and 0 Z06s.
So those hopping for big extra discounts when the C8 is announced may be surprised! Perhaps discounts could be less as they were at Kerbeck before production restarted! Oh sure, some smaller dealers may have some "dogs" left and will discount, i.e. odd colors, 3LT automatics with every option. Especially if you want a standard shift, since it will be the last Vette with a third pedal, might not want to wait as that last order date for a new C7 gets closer or announced - if your plan is buying a C7!
Just Sayn' Something to consider!

So, in your opinion, if you're going to track the car (I've never tracked my C7) but i will the grand sport if I get it. Did you notice a big difference? Is it worth it? When do you think it is good time to dump my C7? I have a BMW M to trade in, I own both.
I appreciate your time.

This is now being passed around several websites as "news".
One of these days I'm going to make up a new user account and post some plausible, yet utterly fabricated bullshit, and see how long it takes the bloggers to pick it up.
I'm not even saying NiceRide is wrong or dishonest. I'm just disappointed at how casually these bloggers are reposting it with absolutely zero verification.
