DCT should be an option in your poll considering the extended debate that continues regarding DCT vs Automatic.
Just add DCT to the above 3 options vs continue to argue about DCT vs Auto.
Ref example poll below:
- Automatic
- DCT
- Manual
- Both Manual and Automatic
- Both Manual and DCT

That interior spy shot made it look pretty tough to fit a stick shift in there.
I am afraid that it will be DCT only, so that's what I voted for in the poll.
I really hope there is a manual available though.

I believe it comes from the percentage that were sold in 2016 that were manuals, which was 23% according the the article I read. At the very least 25% looks like it is close to the real number.

Exactly... thank you. This isn't preference, this is speculation.

Maybe we could go to Sweden and buy this tranny
DCT trannys weight is apron 300 pounds excluding flywheels etc.
Koenigsegg has a new tranny, capable of 1100 foot pound of Torque and it weight is 198 pounds ... including flywheel....

Depends on the car's use. In town traffic, it's impossible to beat an automatic.
Out in the twistys, where rev matching (heel/toe) is an art, well then a stick.
EDIT~
So, based on the typical use of these cars, I'm guessing most drivers will see more "in traffic" use than empty road car commercial use. GM likely sees this too, therefor, the automatic will be dominant.
We've seen this trend for 40 years, btw. It's NOT new. It's just up until now, a choice...

LOL, "good enough" is not the point. And you won't see Corvette manual enthusiasts purchasing anything like the existing Camaro.

If high quality leather is good enough for Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren, then it's good enough for Chevy.
If proper panel fitment and gaps are good enough good enough for Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren, then it's good enough for Chevy.
If high quality materials throughout the vehicle are good enough for Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren, then it's good enough for Chevy.
If comfortable and supportive seats are good enough for Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren, then it's good enough for Chevy.
Just realize you can't have your cake and eat it too. Just because something is good good enough for Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren at their price point, doesn't mean it is good enough at the $60k starting price everyone wants.
And I love the doublespeak used here. In one breath, people say the Corvette is not a supercar, but then say "good enough for Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren, then it's good enough for Chevy" when mentioning things like the trans. Um, those are supercars, so which is it? Is the Corvette supposed to be a supercar or not?

How about that 9 speed with 7 clutches like the one on the new Jesko (koen1ggsegg). Or the 1 speed direct drive from the Regera ( also koen1ggsegg!)

Poll needs to be fixed... I would buy the car if it offers a DCT or manual. I would not buy the car if it's a torque converter auto again.

If you look at the lifetime C7 manual vs auto sales it has been as low as 22% and as high as 35% over the model run.
It's not an insignificant number.
