C8 interior vs. Ferrari F8
The new Ferrari F8 Tributo debuted today... it's an amazingly beautiful car. Looking at the picture of the interior it was what I had hoped we would get with the ME C8 i.e. a narrow center tunnel with open interior space. However, based on the leaked pics GM has stuck to the tight cockpit. I really don't care for the slope of buttons cutting driver off from passenger area.

They're not my favorite, but the car makes up for it. I love the steering wheel and the lack of any stalks; all business.

Is GM going to tease the damn Mid Engine Corvette already?! this is getting ridiculous, every car manufacturer and their mom has revealed their cars except GM. they need to either do some teasers or reveal it already.

Ferrari spend at least $30K* in the interior alone in current models--up from about $10K in the F355 era.
That would be hard to do in a $65K vehicle.
(*) some of this is due to low volume, and some of this is due to being able to order ANYTHING** you want in the interior.
(**) leather color (30 shades)
leather stitching 10 colors
headliner color
dash color (3 different areas)
steering wheel color
carpet color
trunk color
headliner color
seat belt color
seat shape (3)
and various carbon fiber options inside and out.

No way a Corvette interior can be compared to a hand made Italian Ferrari interior. I wish they had a more open interior like the Ferrari. Getting into a 458 Ferrari compared to a C7 Z06 the Ferrari feels more spacious. On waiting for the release of the ME. This is a drastic change in direction for GM, to build a mass produced ME with a v8 and DCT transmission that is not hand built is not an easy task. Assembly line cars have to be put together differently to adjust for a faster line, I really noticed the difference when working on my higher end hand built cars. I am impatiently waiting.
Name another car manufacturer that builds a mass produced ME (30k plus per year) with similar specs today? None!

The one leaked photo of the C8 interior isn't enough to say much about it other than it looks like mediocre seat/console materials and too tight and compartmentalized.
The F8 is a beautiful car with an ugly interior. Those HVAC vents look like jet turbines pointed as you.
Right now, the best looking 2020 interior I've seen pics of is the 911.
Need more C8 pics! SOON!

So Ferrari owners get not one but two round tail lights on each side. Dang.

The Ferrari interior is stupid looking. What is up with those air diffusers. They look like snow or bug spray equipment. $35,000 interior, My ***.

Beautiful car and beautiful interior. I can say from seeing the 488 in person that the F8 will look stunning on the road.
As far as the center tunnel, the C8 has to keep some size there for the Stick Shift

Just from those two pics, the Ferrari interior looks like it's ready for track duty, not beautiful but not ugly except for the air vents ...other than that it's Just set up for business.
The C8 interior, from what we can see..and only what we can see, looks mediocre as stated above., and set up for a cruise to the country club or a car show.
All joking aside. We don't know still what the final interior will look like until it's been presented in full form and different color options.
So far I'm not disappointed in what I see.
I am sick of all the waiting too... time to throw the dogs a bone GM...
at lease a full interior shot would be nice.
Some videos even like they did with the C7 as it was being unveiled slowly.

That looks
However for the price of the F8 you could buy a new C8 (whenever it comes out) as well as a nice new house with a big garage to park it in.
