C8 Deposit - Kerbeck List

I'd rather be #250 on Kerbeck's wait list than #10 on a lower volume dealer's list. Back when the C7 was released, Kerbeck's allocation was over 1200 Corvettes for 2014. Many dealers couldn't get any and even the largest dealers didn't get a fraction of Kerbeck's allocation. If you are one of the "must haves" as soon as the C8 is released, this IS THE LIST you want to be on. Regarding the post regarding placing a deposit on a car that has not officially been announced and not knowing the price ahead of time. I can only laugh. Nobody needs to have a C8 and nobody needs to have the first year of the C8. People that leave deposits ahead of release know this and they want to be among the first owners of the next generation and most likely, price and/or timing of release isn't the issue. Kerbeck is one of the most reputable dealerships and will be competitive with the marketplace. They won't take more deposits than what they know for sure they are allocated.

Not at this time, but we will keep an eye one it.
Yes, you'll get a number once we have your deposit. However, you need to look bigger. Since we average over 100 new cars per currently, I'd like to think #50 on our list would be a very, very early car. Of course I don't know what our allocation is yet, but if it's based on recent sales I'd like to think we can keep close to our average. Here's keeping our fingers crossed!

this is tempting I might get on the list. My lease ends for my current car in 2020 and not sure how long production would take but timing might work out if the car is priced close to the C7. I filled out the form

Filled out the form and haven’t received any additional info.

I would expect they will go right down the list in order contacting each listee. They will then furnish the listee with the pricing and options available. It will then be in the listee's control and ability to be quick and decisive in their choices, and getting the required additional monies back to said Chevy dealer. At that time, your order will be placed by entering it into the GM computer. At least that's my perception of how it works...

If that concerns you, definitely do NOT put a deposit down. And IF the car exists (it may not) and IF you want it (you may not) and IF you can afford (you may not), THEN put a deposit down and wait your turn--from last on the list. Meanwhile those people who feel certain that the car will exist and know they will want it, and know they can afford it, will have their cars earlier than you. Eventually, you may get a car, and if it's later than you would have wished, well, that's the cost of your concern. One thing that is NOT your concern is other people's money.

They are not the only "large" Corvette dealership that is taking deposits on the ME.

I have NO dealership and I am not a seller of any vehicles but I will take your deposit.

No word
Lead Corvette rep at dealership said still no new word on any announcement of the car from GM, until there is no reason to take deposits. He is keeping folders with levels of interest in number order.

Nah, your color combo is ALL wrong....had you ordered a correct car, THEN you would probably be happy putting some miles on. Tell you what: Since you screwed the pooch on this ZR1, send it to me and I'll suffer through having to drive it around. Because I'm just that kind of selfless guy. You, of course, will need to maintain the insurance, send me a $5,000 Shell gas card, etc.
I am here for YOU, my brother!!!! And you can go ahead and get an early C8 as you won't have to be bothered with accumulating mileage on this ZR1....easy peasy….problem solved!!!!
