I like how the perforations on the seat backs match the suspected split rear window treatment.

No offense intended... I am just perplexed why you would take the time to post this question here - it would have taken less finger strokes to type the search into google and immediately have the answer, than to ask here (a non-bmw forum), hoping someone knows... that is all.

Interior is looking good so far, those appear to be the competition seats. One thing to note, that beltline is pretty high and the rear window is even higher. The spy shot with Mark Reuss in the car looked like he could barely see out of the side window. That rear window is even higher. Makes sense that they are using the new rear camera mirror tech.

Yeah the seats have some kind of fabric on the thigh and torso bolsters which will increase grip. Very curious if they somehow slip in harness mounts to the bulk-head behind the seat. Probably won't for liability reasons. I too notices that Reuss' head barely stuck over the belt line and he's not a small guy.

Hopefully somebody can find a picture of him in a C7 so we can see just how much taller the C8 beltline is.

There are pics of the C7/8 in line... they appear similar in belt height. Probably driven by side impact testing. Gone are the days of crusing with your arm on the window sill.

That's for sure. I know that a higher beltline helps in side impact, especially in a low performance car... but its starting to get a little ridiculous. A 6'+ person shouldn't have their head just poking above the beltline.

I'm 6'3" and cannot comfortably rest my arm out my C7. C5 was fine.

In addition to the higher beltline, the C8 seats appear to be mounted lower in the chassis for better COG.

Is it just me or does anyone else think the name "Stingray" does not really fit the image of an ME?

Not sure... if you look at the arm rest relative to the seat it's "normal" and the height of the door panel above the arm rest looks very tall. Maybe there's hope for my 6'3" self to fit in the car. That's a good thing.

Given they told us they brought back the Stringray name for the C7 because it was the first car in multiple generations "worthy" of the name, which is funny because it's fundamentally a nicer C5/C6 in terms of the structure of the car and layout, I would have expected something different for a change as radical as the ME. I figured it wouldn't have a name... just "Corvette" with the top dog being the "Corvette Zora".

The more I see, the more I like!

As I stated in January, the Stingray name will apparently live on beyond the C7.

As I added, it's a link and where the interior pics are from! Looks like this is a rehash of an October 2018, the January 2019 articles they wrote and some new guesses!

OMG that looks so tacky, like why would anyone want "carscoops" embroidered all over their seats?

Although I do like Z06 and ZR1, it would be nice to have actual names. They already have Stingray and Grand Sport so all they need is 2 more names. Maybe they could replace ZR1 with Zora.

the actual belt line will be much lower once the camo pads come off.
