Production Front Fascia Spy Shot!
From GM Authority:
The mid-engine Corvette C8 may be slightly delayed, but that hasn’t stopped the development team from continuing to test the model. And today, our sleuthing spy managed to catch up to the latest prototype of the upcoming sports car and snap photos of the production-intent front fascia and headlights.
That, in and of itself, would not be very news-worthy given that we already got a good look at the front fascia and headlights late last month. But this time around, some of the camo was being blown off, revealing more about the face of the future Corvette.
Interestingly, the front clip of the mid-engine Corvette C8 seen here looks identical to the leaked photo from the Corvette factory that we saw in October 2017. We can also see the design of the plastic insert flanking the grille, below each headlight. That pattern is nearly identical to that of the grilles on the sixth-gen Camaro ZL1 as well as Chevy’s new Blazer RS.
The latest scuttlebutt has it that the mid-engine Corvette C8 will go into production in December 2019. The base variant will continue using the Stingray name, much like the the current Corvette C7.

The grille pattern of Corvette C8 seems highly reminiscent to that of 2019 Blazer RS, pictured
Gen six Camaro ZL1 was the first Chevrolet model to introduce the grille patterns seen on the 2019 Blazer RS and upcoming Corvette C8
In addition, we got an even better look at the upcoming Corvette’s headlights. The headlight cluster houses a multi-matrix LED configuration. A white strip at the top does double duty as the Daytime Running Light (DRL) as well as a signature lighting accent. Notably, the strip turns amber/orange when the turn signal indicator is enabled.Gen six Camaro ZL1 was the first Chevrolet model to introduce the grille patterns seen on the 2019 Blazer RS and upcoming Corvette C8

Burning Brakes
Motor 1 has pictures of both the front and rear!
https://www.motor1.com/news/313226/m...hotos-details/
Things I’ve noticed(in order, for those of you wondering):
1.) Red seat belts
2.) Thick camo on the top of the front bumper
3.) Very 3D taillight design, similar in that sense to the new Blazer and Camaro taillights
4.) There’s camo covering each end of the front facia, making it look much more squared off
5.) Ferrari-like steering wheel is still there
6.) Camo piece directly above the license plate area, making that edge seem bulkier than it is
This car is going to look very different from what we’ve envisioned and from what Chazcron and FVS have rendered. All of the small details that they’ve hidden throw off the look of the car more than any camo job I’ve ever seen, besides full black covers like most C8s have had so far.

So the front looks just like the cars from the Nurburgring. Actually this confirms that the horizontal bar in the side grille appear to be black and doesn’t look like an LED strip in Chaz’s renders.
About the only actual new thing here is a peek at the tail lights.

Am I missing something here or are you? Does that front facia not look raised in the center near the hood? It looks nothing like the leaked photo from Nov. This picture looks like a cat fish mouth.

If it wasn’t clear before it should be now: there is so much padding between the camo that we will have no idea what this car actually looks like until it’s revealed. Look at the gap between the taillights and the camo. You can see squares cut out for the taillights. It’s not just a camo wrap. There is SO MUCH padding!

Also, with the front camo peeling up it’s apparent that the hood is much lower than it looks. There seems to be a lot of padding on this thing still.

I believe the rear of this car will look much better than any of the current renderings.

the rear is giant on these mules... looks like a freakin Yute

It's smaller than the C7. We know the height of the rear deck at the very extent is lower than the C6 and C7. Perhaps it's slightly wider, but it is lower for sure. It's also not flat, but the rear's profile curves quite a bit more.
