Our first look with the frunk open!

The c7 is the transition car to the c8, they say the reason the c7 has many of the styling cues it has is so people will be desensitized to the c8. I think the vent duct will stay with the hood, and go up with the hood, but then when you close it, it matches back up with a rubber gasket to the air intake duct from the front.
This vent duct would not be installed right now, as the vent is closed off anyway.
Otherwise they are just hiding the sharp lines of the front hood design.

An S duct maybe
*An active S duct could be what that patent application was related to. Those opened hood vents (202-1) are too far back for a C7, but right where they'd need to be in a mid-engine car with a front storage area.

In regards to size of actual trunk
Words from Corvette Engineer at Carlisle this year when asked about cargo "it's a BIG car... room for 2 golf bags.. huge".
I thought he was pulling my Leg at first but I got the "no.. I'm serious"
then he told me if I made the Bash this year I would not be disappointed. But then again that way before the frame fell apart... the electrical system crapped out... and oh yeah? They can't agree on ergonomics or visibility with the car ALLEGED to be a 2020 by everyone "in the know" lol...

Further, these camouflage guys (from what I have recently heard from my source) have even possibly been using mounting spacers for certain elements of the car to do stuff like make the headlights appear to sit taller than they do on the production car, etc. He said it was only rumor, not even first hand knowledge himself. Easy to wrap that and make it look seamless I suppose. If you look at the C8.R the headlights don't appear to stand up so much like they do on the street cars. Maybe the guy is right. Could be BS too.
That said, it wouldn't at all surprise me if the mules were simply not yet built to final spec, or possibly even using representative parts that arent finalized that require some massaging to go together

As said, The C8 rear hatch seams are much wider on the car than the NSX. I bet the trunk spans the width of the car back there and is part of why the *** end is so large. It will **** off some that they "compromised the design" to fit luggage, but then if it came with a tiny pathetic space all the road trippers would never buy one... we shall see.
My guess it the frunk area is split into the storage compartment and then behind that lives the battery, a fuse panel, and we can see the brake fluid reservoir.
GM... please have cable releases for the door, frunk, and gas door! They forgot it on the C7 and the stupid thing fails. I took the lock mechanism out on my C7 when I had the wheel well liner out.

Is it just me, or are all of the people that have been entrusted with testing this machine dressed like they popped out of the Vegas Vacation movie? Just sayin...

Doesn't look like the frunk can fit 2 or even 1 golf bag in it. Assuming the width of the C8 is about 75-80" at it's widest in the back, the front should be around 70". Factor in the width of the fenders on both sides and the space around the frunk opening, you are looking at about 40" at best. I don't know how a standard driver placed in the bag can fit.

Most washer fluid reservoirs on cars I've had are black with a flip up cap. This looks to be opaque/clear with a twist on cap and it's in the right position to be the brake master reservoir. However, I'm sure there's a washer fluid bottle somewhere up there too.
I wouldn't want the reverse open hood with a frunk. having to load everything from the side would be pointless and annoying.
