This has been well and thoroughly analyzed with comparative measurements and overlays. The C7 and C8 are almost exactly the same overall dimensions, minus a forward cockpit.

Could just as easily be checking a fuse since electrical problems have been reported?

GM has the Frunk and Wagnal encyclopedia to check for these rare problems of missing motors.

Melting Slicks
They arent fake, they just come forward much farther than the do in real life. There is a small faint triangle shape that begins on the door, and the door handle is under it, it is very thin and sharp at the door, so it will not actually hit the car next to it, the normal center round part of the outer door edge will hit first in most cases.
The side intake is much further back than what we are allowed to see.

Couldn't they just push start it?

Drifting
As someone who just dealt with a completly dead battery in a car with an electric frunk release (the battery is under there) I hope like hell they have an easily accessible manual release. That was a nightmare.
