If I could buy a 2020 C8, manual trans (maybe DCT), sub 3.5 0-60MPH, low 11's with awesome leather interior at a 2LT level I wouldn't think twice at $100k - $110k.
Why do people think a car of this caliber will go for less is beyond me.
I don't care if it has a V6 with Twin Turbos or a V8, as long as it performs.
Ever price out Porsche 911S?
I just left a Porsche dealer today, you can't touch a 911S for less than $140k: https://www.westmontporsche.com/pors...-inventory.htm
The salesman acted like they didn't give a **** if I bought one or not.
Negotiating with these guys would appear to be a waste of time.
I will say the paint on a Porsche looks incredible.
I visited a Mercedes dealer, BMW, Lexus, and even LAMBORGHINI: https://www.perillodownersgrove.com/...uc2zf7kla12430

Didn't know Lavar Ball was a member of the Corvette Forum. How wonderful.

I didn't know that Chevy Officially released details of this so-called new C8 Corvette?
Maybe you can post a link here?
Can I place a Deposit on a C9 also, that hasn't been officially released either.
How many engine choices are available?
DCT, Manual....?
Price?
I would NEVER buy a 1st year of a completely revamped car.

I don't really care for Porsche, But this I like but could not afford this .... https://www.perillodownersgrove.com/...ur2zf8kla12421
Was 50 degrees (felt like 80) and sunny today in Chicago.
I decided to visit a few dealerships to keep updated on what these cars really look like in person.
Most looked better than the actual magazine/website photos.
The Porsche & Ferrari probably had the best paint jobs, simply amazing.
In a 2 mile stretch, we have some of THE finest cars on the planet.
Bugatti, Ferrari, Lambo, Rolls, Bentley, you name it.
Car business must be good because all these dealerships are killing it.
BMW dealer is adding a $7 Million dollar addition to the existing dealership. No signs of a slowing economy in this area.
The Lexus LC 500 wasn't quite as nice as I expected: https://www.mcgrathlex.com/VehicleDe...-IL/3294422243
Porsche was probably my favorite. Their cars seem expensive, some had dealer markups.
A 911 Turbo for $225,000+ Tax seemed insane: https://www.westmontporsche.com/new/...b88772b138.htm
So then I logged in to this forum and people talking **** about a $60,000.00 C8.
That didn't even cover the Options on most of the cars I saw today.
It doesn't sync when comparing to other cars with similar performance, especially a ME, aka Porsche.

You are absolutely right! This forum is tough though dont worry about these guys they get up tight quick I have already been in trouble. Base price is gonna blow these guys lids off its gonna be more than they think. You see your the only one I have agreed with, and that makes sense. I mentioned im going back to my c6 forum and they blasted me about being broke or a troll or something and then I got ugly and got kicked off hahaha..Anyway Porsche are the best quality there is, working on them, parts, customer service..You name it, they are better than anyone. I only know this cause including my old ratty C6Z I own a 2015 GT3 that I had to wait 20 months just to receive my allocation for. I am very excited about this new C8 and am very willing to spend for one, but also I will have to wait for a Z06 or whatever they call it model. I purchase my vehicles usually based on engine alone typically

Forget the rest of these exotics get a 1965 GTO with trips and enjoy no car tax, cheap insurance and a hell of a ride, for about $50,000.00 . Quit supporting these foreign manufactures. (Over priced Plastic) Go PONTIAC. Never had a problem with my 1965 Goat and rode like a caddy and all i needed was gas, tires, and oil. WHAT HAPPEN TO GM?
#18
I hope it’s faster than that. Considering what a Stingray can do at 1/2 that price.

With all due respect, this makes zero sense. Why would Chevy price hike the 2019 model year when they're giving 15% discounts already? To make the 2020 seem like a more modest price increase... 5-6% price hike seems logical to me.

Burning Brakes
Why because they can and will. The C8 is going to kill it... first year, second year and beyond. Corvette is the finest overall sports car per benjamins out there hands down. There is some wiggle room for some higher digits on the window sticker. Once the car is released, many will heading to their dealer to place a down stoke regardless if the car is in the 60's, 70's, 80's or near 100. Never been a more anticipated Corvette. GM knows this and will take full advantage.
