My bad, I guess all of this excitement is distracting.

My friend is dying to know whether or not the flux capacitor is available on the ZR1. Did you see it anywhere in the order guide?

Nope, but they will use the newest QCT transaxle, sourced from Timerac (well known in China to be the best supercar Tremec repro's), twice as good as those silly "dual" clutcher's...

It is a plant post by GM. They did the same thing with the C5,6,7! Look it up! Some of the engineers are on the forum.

None of it makes sense. It doesn't fit with GM color names, or most manufacturer's color names. Color names are supposed to evoke a feeling. "Ceramic Matrix Gray" doesn't evoke a feeling except me trying to figure out what that would be. Also, GT2 references in the seats. Maybe I missed something in recent years but GT2 is normally a conotation that comes with Porsche, not Vette. If it said ZO6 seats that would make more sense.
you realize that most of those ARE indeed color names now being used for the C7. With a couple new ones thrown in?

They took away an option, they did not add an entirely new one in place of two already existing ones. Even so, swapping a transmission in 1982 is considerably easier than swapping a transmission in 2019, with things like communication protocol compatability and unintended effects like screwing up ESC tuning to worry about.

Nah. OEMs really do have better things to do than mess with internet forums, much as some here may believe otherwise!

If they are messing around, they're not just doing it with the forum.

The lines in the suspension block are oddly worded.

Looks legit to me. Not surprised if GM made a mistake with Global Connect in Canada and allowed dealers access to the configurator. A big mistake, one that now waters down their reveal. I'd expect to see something from GM either directly or indirectly VIA a well known media source like Car and Driver to produce an informative article with details on the C8, maybe teaser photos of a near production ready car. This will direct the eyes off the leak and onto GM.

There is no chrome wheel option listed. If it's not available, we can look forward to a lot of angst among the chrome fans.

Yes. Should be one of a kind. Over the years the “Ronald McDonald” or “ketchup & mustard” Corvettes have had the bright Torch Red interiors. But this order is for the Spice red which is more subdued, more like a brick red. I did come across a yellow ZR1 with Spice red interior and top but no pic of the interior.
