Since we're shitting on Corvettes... there are only 2 that I wouldn't own:
1. A plastic bumper C3 of any kind; chrome bumpers and side pipes baby!
2. A base narrow-body C6; the Z06/GS fixes the C6 completely

ZERO chance of a plus $70K price tag now. I'm feeling like it's going to be the $62K number that's been thrown around.

Actually what was said is was the final seventh gen Corvette — a black 2019 Z06 model — will be auctioned at the Barrett-Jackson.
Not necessarily the last FE Corvette.
However I believe as many others that the C7 Gen is the last FE Corvette.
Also you know why the last C7 is Black? What color does Rick choose all the time?

I heard a rumor they are expecting to have the Mark Ruess ZR1 pace car rebuilt in time for the auction as well. They are just looking for a few more pieces that are scattered in the trees outside of turn 1.

Then only to reintroduce the FE in a year from now.
Same guy who thought for sure that the C8 had to be left running at the gas station because the C8 would not start if turned off.
Of course if you look long enough he managed to find someone with a wild RFI issue.
He also think Tadge purposely designed the C7 with design flaws because Tadge has a vendetta against the C7.
Amazing how out of touch with reality some members are here on CF.
Given statement direct from GM that the C7 is dead they still have a theory of why the C7 FR should live on.
I think facts are these same folks cannot stand the fact that all of us who own a C7 now own an obsolete model that's no longer at the pinnacle of Corvette world.
97 days to go. I am keeping my finger crossed that I will be taking delivery 1st quarter of 2020 to add it to the stable next to my obsolete Callaway SC757!!!

YOU'RE UGLY! LOL...J/K take it easy...The C7 is super sexy, what are you talking about???
You sound like my buddy here that has a 67 mint condition, and beautiful, but he thinks everything other than his Vette is a pile of junk. My C5 FRC will smoke his in every aspect, even looks in my opinion...just not in value. You got that going for you!
Whatever, haters. No comment on the C4

If only I had an extra $40k lying around in about a year, I bet I'd be able to score a killer deal on a C7 that will inevitably still be languishing on a lot.

We all know who that is that saying the cancelation of the FE is a trick by GM to get folks to rush out and buy the remaining C7.

Yup. I offer to have their kids sitting in the driver's seat when they take pictures. The kids love the hell out of that. I would have loved it too when I was a kid.

Though I guess it depends where you live. I haven't had anyone wave (besides other Vette drivers), give me the thumbs up, or ask to take pics with my car. Never happened with my previous Vettes either. It's just a Chevy.

Sad in a way but not unexpected. I was really hoping for the Porsche approach of 2 distinct sports car lines — one quasi-exclusive and one for the rest of us.
As a fan of IMSA and particularly Corvette racing, I would have loved to see C7(.5’s?) in the lower GT class and C8’s taking on the big guns.
GM did their analysis and made their decision. Hope it works out spectacularly!

Then maybe you should start paying more attention to your surrounding environment. I give Porsche drivers salutes, and they do that to me as well.
