Yes I know, once the wrap is gone, you'll get a better perspective, but........is this area good looking?

You're asking if an area covered in foam, faux panels, and vinyl camo wrap is good looking.
That answer is no, of course not. It isn't supposed to look good.

Looks good
Looks good...damn good... I am all in for buying one...Chevrolet will have new and different trims... great new colors and options. Chevrolet will keep part of the old but with the mid-engine corvette there will be a lot that is new. Wait till you see the coming engines and power trains... awesome car for sure

Hope it does not look too much like the pic. I’m just not feeling it!

Melting Slicks
They pushed the rear axle way back for a specific reason. The fake intake is covering a rear hatch opening. The opening is just forward of the rear wheel. Open the hatch and shove your golf bag in this compartment.

“Form Follows Function”
So a Mid Engine car will look different and it’s performance will help it “look fantastic.”
That said, IMO the 1967 ME Ferrari 330P4 is one of the most beautiful cars ever built! (I have 2, albeit a bit small.) Great looking race car but would not be practical as a passenger car as no room for golf clubs (or much else.)
I’ll bet you’ll never see an official GM photo taken at that direct side view! You’ll love the appearance when GM introduces with it’s controlled best angle views. All cars have some photo angles that don’t look as good as others.
Just Sayn’

But no matter how good the pics, there is no way I could convey what I saw! I was not looking at a framed still when I viewed with my eyes!
However there is one thing that pic above of the 330P4 shows that however the “form” may be correct, the prototype C8 305 section width rear tires just “doesn’t look right,’” IMO. That 330P4 only had 450 horses, good for 1967. But those rear tires are wider than 305s!

Recall when I first got into photography in the late 1960’s was frequently traveling from the East Coast and landing in Salt Lake City on my way to Provo. I was always trying to capture the majestic Rocky Mountains. Recall one great shot with the sun shinning just right on an airplane engine and the snow covered peaks.
But no matter how good the pics, there is no way I could convey what I saw! I was not looking at a framed still when I viewed with my eyes!

that area does not look good at all. It is like someone else designed the back of the car. but I strongly believe that is all fake and will not look like that on the production car. It can’t

Not sure how many present Corvette owners will like the looks of the C8. I love my 2019 C7 and bought it since I didn't like what I was seeing in the C8. I think the front and back looks good but just don't like the proportions from the side. I am sure handling will be great but my C7 handles as well as I can handle, how much more do you need for the average Corvette owner.

I love the fender line on one of Chaz’s renders. That line from the front fender back and down, then taking off up and over the rear quarter is beautiful. Just hope that it is like that when the camo comes off it has that swoop from the render.
