Gee, I wonder what the big surprise will be tomorrow? Mary has already told us the C8 will be revealed in July, so why would she and all the other big shots be flying to BG to tell us nothing about that car?
Such a mystery for so many folks here who have been lecturing us about all their inside information. See you tomorrow boys and girls.

Announcement of the C7.5
Detroit Free Press: "GM’s engine plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee, will continue to make 6.2-liter engines for the traditional Corvette after the mid-engine car is launched at Bowling Green, said Mike Herron, chairman of UAW Local 1853 at Spring Hill."
So the FE will continue to get the 6.2L while the ME will get the 6.3L
Mary is going to announce that Corvette will have two platforms and ME production will be 10K the first year. No doubt the price will be in the C7 Z06 range because all 10K cars will sell out in days.
North of $80K for the LT2.
North of $100K for the LT4.

and also from the Detroit Free Press at 5:57 PM today
“General Motors plans an announcement Thursday about its new mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette.
The car is expected to be built in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where Corvettes are built now. Thursday's announcement is expected to reveal what that means in terms of employment. Some sources say the company also will shift production of the new engine to the plant, though GM would not confirm that Wednesday.”

No worries ...plenty of grade AAA crow to go around for everybody ...that includes Wall Street journalists and union bosses,
I was born in the 70’s,and I’ve seen union bosses and Wall Street be wrong during my whole life time....they’re usually the last to know...
All I remember from them is their long, boring interviews after the fact.

Please keep in mind that this is a national UAW contract year with GM. While I'd really like to read all kind of stuff about Corvette and the C8 model into this, I'm afraid this will be just 'posturing' as contract talks get going in earnest between GM and the UAW. With GM's earlier announcements about plant closings, Mary needs to get a positive spin on things as talks move forward. Maybe she will talk about extra bodies to man a second shift to keep up with demand that's expected for the new ME. I doubt she will touch on anything of real substance product wise (like the next generation FE Corvette.....)

I would like to hear them say that Pontiac is coming back and that a new Fiero GT will be built using the Corvette transaxle, but with a steel space frame to reduce its price. Imagine a 3.6L, 345 hp v6 and a msrp of $35K. Mary Barra's first job at GM was in the Fiero plant, so far she has turned her back on her Pontiac past. She even owned a Fiero for a while.

i would not be surprised if they make the engines there, if in fact they are not going to produce multiple models, FE/SUV/ME under the 1 roof.

You have no idea how much the UAW has a say in what happens and has first hand knowledge of what is happening in the plants where they represent the workers.

I'll be in the plant tomorrow...looking forward to seeing the C8 in the flesh. I'll post any new info as soon as it is available.

I heard from a friend of a friend who knows a parts guy at a Chevy dealer that they will announce that the ME C8 will be built alongside a new FE C9 which will have 1250 HP and weigh 3000 lbs and come in at under 50k.
I plan on placing a deposit tomorrow after the announcement 😎

Clearly GM has a lot riding on the success of the C8. If it's not, I see dark clouds in the future.

I heard she's announcing that "Skank was right" and has flown him to BG to announce the C7.5.
