Default The 8th Generation Corvette Emblem - Side by Side Comparison to C7 Emblem

Harlan Charles graciously provided this comparison opportunity for me after the C8 Presentation this morning. Thank you, Harlan!

The first photo compares the new front C8 emblem to the front C7 emblem. The second and third photos show the C8 emblem on the back of the Corvette Team's emblem reveal shirts followed by carbon flash and chrome versions of the C8 emblem.

I'm holding out for the non-camo shirt. It will show my lines a lot better.

This. That way it avoids tempting some to say the appearance is slab-sided, chunky and boxy.

The split through the middle of it might be a design cue that ties into a split window

I guess chrome badges are still going to be a thing on the C8.

C7 emblem looks much better imo. Just hope they don’t afix them with guide posts so they can be removed if the owner so chooses.

As a graphic designer for many years. the designer got off easy on this project...just squeeze the c7 logo and there you go, done.

One of the forum members did exactly that a year or so back with his personal "concept" logo. Me and quite a few other people said, no way will they be that lazy and simplistic.

Sadly, we were wrong and he was right.

Sometimes simple is better. I like the sleeker, smaller look that honors the C7 emblem, which I think was previously the best looking of all gens. The smaller emblem is more subtle and clean.

It is definitely smaller. And both in the comparison photo are the front logos.

Not available for purchase. However, the NCM auctioned one off at the donor's banquet tonight at got $3,100 for the first one and a matching donation of $3,100 for a second one.

Iconic or not, I do not like GM's emblem for the Corvette at all.

...probably for the Next Gen Car when optioned with Chrome Wheels.

Interesting, how few C7 Corvettes had wheels other than black. Very few

They also displayed Carbon Flash versions of the emblem at BGA yesterday, just like on C7 where either Chrome or Carbon Flash could be chosen.
