What I want on a C8
I want the ability to mount a bike rack. I was heading to a friend's house and had to take my daily driver Subaru. At an intersection I was next to someone in a Porsche Cayman S with roof racks hauling a road bike. I get it ,some of you think it's defiling the car but I see it as making it more of a driver's car rather than a garage ornament. If you could mount a hitch you could tow a trailer with race slicks and a Jack.
Ok flame on.

I'm sure that if there is interest, companies like Rhode Gear, Saris, and Thule will come up with some sort of Rack for it.
Usually, even the factory accessory racks sold by dealerships are engineered and buult by a third party.

Then buy a roof rack attachment from the aftermarket... what’s the issue? If it has a roof, you will be able to attach something to it. It’s not as if the Cayman was designed with roof racks in mind.

Le Mans Master
People have always found a way to mount a trailer hitch on every generation of Corvette. If you want a bike rack on your c8 that would be the way to go. Forget the roof.

Le Mans Master
two tone paint, luggage rack, tow hook and bike rack options.

Another Porsches are better because thread hits a new low....heheheh
does porsche of america pay you guys to troll corvette sites with these kinds of threads? Hehhe (Im kidding)
i enjoy these crazy threads yet it does seem as though the continual porsche references are kind of funny.
thanks for the laughs
and yes roof racks or bike racks should be available from the aftermarket if thats your concern...
if it has a roof Id imagine roof racks will be offered by the aftermarket if there is sufficent demand for them to create a profit...
i never thought of putting bikes on the roof of any car but if you do....good luck..where there is a will...there is always a way

Melting Slicks
Maybe along with the trailer hitch, they could add rear air suspension, so that I could tow my 23' center console and leave the Grand Cherokee at home?
Lets face it, the C8 will be less of a daily driver than the C7, and no one has ever suggested a C7 is a replacement for an suv.

I see nothing in his post that says "Posches are better" or that it should be able to tow a boat or anything of the sort.
Nowhere in his post do I see anything that even remotely resembles a complaint. All I see is a post where a guy saw a bike rack on a Porsche and hoped that there would be some provision on the C8 that would allow for that.
Sometimes I need a reminder of why I stay away from the Corvette clubs. This thread certainly helps.

I have to say, I understand the source of naysay in here but...there is something admirable about a one-car-do-it-all...and though the guy in this vid is a bit of a dbag (personal experience with him that I won't get into) this was a pretty inspirational video...the guy is talented...I won't deny him that.
I think everyone should watch this vid just to push the mind into what you can potentially do with one car or one space.
