Default Last C7 build date

Anybody know when they're going to end production? And no, it's not July 18. That's just the reveal date for the C8. When are they going to start production of the C8?

In the teaser video for the C8, at the end it says that the availability date for the C8 will be announced at a later date. IOW, GM is NOT going to announce the start of retail C8 production on 7/18 and there is no date now for that announcement or the start of retail production. So the C8 is not production ready obviously.

The rights to the last C7 built will be auctioned off June 28th. Good chance the build date for that car will be announced during the barret jackson auction.

Maybe they will announce the start of C7.5 production then as well.

My best educated guess is that C7 production will end sometime between September 15 and October 15 with C8 production starting the first part of December.

The raffle for vin 25 happens on 8/31/2019, so I guess C8 production starts about then.

That will be a raffle for the rights to ownership of VIN #25 when it is produced.

^Correct. I believe Chevy said the car would be assembled AFTER the auction.

You have no clue what you're talking about? The C8 is not production ready? Based on what information? Everybody on the C8 forum knows you can't get over the fact the front engine production Corvette is coming to an end? I am the Corvette manager at a Chevrolet dealership and there are some details we know and can't share yet? This I can share every Chevrolet dealer was informed by GM on 5-1-19 if they want to sell & service C8 Corvette you must sign up to be either a Corvette dealer or a Signature Corvette dealer. The deadline is June 7th to do so.

Do you think GM announces a start date for production without sales and service training? The owner of my dealership along with the service manager, and myself are enrolled in the sales and service training class at Spring Mountain to be held in the fall. We will get to drive C8 Mid-Engine Corvettes for two days on the track and learn about the car.

Pretty sure the 2019 Corvette, which production began in Jan 2018, can "legally" run through December 2019.

What is known:
  • GM has NOT announced when ordering cutoff is planned for 2019 Corvette.
  • GM has NOT announced when C7 production ends.
  • GM has NOT announced when Next Gen or C8 orders can be placed.
  • GM has NOT announced when Next Gen or C8 production will begin.

Why on earth would one live in Pottsville? Lake Wynonah, maybe... No wonder you haven't heard about the production start of the C8!

I highly doubt they will release the C8 during the winter... I'm guessing they will open up ordering in August and you will see it in dealers at the end of September/October.
