Will we do this in the C8?
Just got back from Kentucky visiting family. Played some golf and of course went to the Corvette museum.

The answer is no - who in their right mind would pack a duffel bag with a C7 logo into their C8
On a more serious note, we just don't know. We all expect not, but hoping that it will have at least the same storage space as the C7 convertibles do.

Only if they option a custom tag-along trailer. Probably one of the first aftermarket products. I could probably get everything but the golf clubs in my convertible.

July 18th all the guessing, speculation will end. I like my Z06 Convertible and could care less about storage, as for the C8 it is exciting to see the Corvette move on to a new platform. I will most likely wait until the more powerful version is introduced before I consider moving on.
Hard to believe the C6 crowd is still moaning over the lack of round tail lights after 6 years, be interesting to see what the die hard C7 crowd faults the C8 for.

If you cared about storage you wouldn't own a vert. That along with a few other reasons is why I will never own a vert. If I can't take mine and my wife's golf clubs along with luggage on trips I would never drive my Corvette. We go golfing almost every morning with the Vette. I didn't buy my car to go for ice cream or breakfast when the weather is perfect. I bought it to use like I would any other car and not own a garage queen.
Exactly. Except for the golfing with the wife... She had a 100 stroke rule. After 100 she reads. About the 4th hole...lol, like trying to ski with her, It was hideous. On another note, shot 74 yesterday on a course with a 72.5/134 rating (6600 yds) .. Not too shabby for a 63 year old... ;-)
And sadly no, I probably won't be having a C8. The wife doesn't golf, but I do have other friends that do.

There is only 1 thing that we won’t be able do in a C8 that matters to me and that is push a clutch in and shift.

I thought I read somewhere that the c8 will be able to hold two golf sets as that is their gauge of space needed. Apparently its a big thing for vette owners.
I wouldn't know, I have never done it.

Hmm?
I wouldn't do that in my F150.

I do not whack the white pellet so I care not a whit whether the car will carry golf clubs. And, more relevant, I have other vehicles to haul junk.
The job of the C8 is to be high performance car, not a dump truck.

Just have to accept the new ways of getting things done. you rent a locker at your golf club, you use an o/n express service to send your bags/luggage to the trip final or next destination. C8 is purely for the pleasure of driving. Either Chevy is right or George Carlin is right. jury is still out. but i got stuck behind a helluva lot of motor homes/triple long trailers on SC/NC 38 yesterday, and mile long waits on 74 turning north onto "i73", ha ha, really rt 220. got me to thinking. Why in the h*ll! do folks literally need to haul their own ca-ca around with them? That's a lot of money invested in those gynormous ca-ca haulers, and miles long slowpoking on the two lane i95 between SC38 and Savannah! So my money is on the stuff carriers, not the svelte 2 seater and nothing else "pure" sports car. C7 forever!
ok, you wanted to see his hilarious "stuff" monologue. easily found. But never forget his warning.

Exactly and that’s why he owns a vert. I have very good reading comprehension.

I don’t have to accept anything. There are so many options out there in every color you can imagine and those who accept or settle for something that doesn’t meet their needs is making a big mistake.
Before I ordered my Corvette I looked at a C7 in the parking lot at my golf club. The owner showed me how you can get two sets of clubs in it and still had room for luggage. I was sold and ordered my car two Months later.

My C7 is for sale and I have 2 deposits in for a C8. I expect it will do just fine for road tripping. My wife doesn't golf so our trips don't center around golf anyway. I expect clubs will fit in the trunk above the engine fine though. If not, not a deal killer as clubs can be shipped.

I know most could care less about mileage but this is what I got on the trip home. The interesting part is we drove through many sections of highway with construction and in some cases drove bumper to bumper very slow for miles. We also stopped at to play a round of golf along with a fuel stop and dinner stop. Not bad for a dump truck hauling a bunch of junk at an average speed of 66 mph.

Corvettes have always gotten great economy (well since I got into them in the C5 gen). I expect the C8 with the 8 speed and GM's latest AFM/DOD system will do even better.
